      With the advance in technology it become more and more difficult to score in air kills making becoming an ace harder and harder over time. Currently I doubt anyone in the history of the world has the skill necessary to score an ace in modern aerial combat.

    Actually, he was hit in the face with an exploding boy fired from a counter sniper. He was left for dead and later his fellow comrades found him lying in the snow. He was taken back to the hospital where he spent three months recovering from his wound and by then, there had been a peace treaty and the battle was over The result of being shot in the face is the reason why the left side of this face is scarred with scar tissue as a result from the wound, but thanks to the fact he was fighting in the snow and were closed by. It was able to survive and he went back to his civilian life. He was a national hero and basically went back to farming, and live the peaceful life cherished of natural causes !!
