I would go lighter and work on your form. Don't hurt yourself trying to go heavy for no reason.

One mistake I see is him jumping and the legs spreading too far apart last thing you don't want is a dislocated knee during the weight lifting
I'm more of a powerlifter, but when I was young I could do 400 without focusing much on my core. 500 was my limit in squat for my core. Now that I'm older 405 was a limit for my core. Now I'm getting back into it, but really working on my core. Back extensions, good mornings, dead lifts, bent over row. Also I always did 3 sets of 10 or at least strived for it. Worked really well for me. Starting strength was 5x5, but 70-80% of the 1 Rep max pushing for 3 sets of 10 always gave me good gains. So experiment with doing more reps. Good luck.

Good work. All it takes is hard work and dedication. Keep pushing yourself. It doesn’t come overnight. Keep grinding, it’s always a marathon, not a sprint. Got to balance and make sure you don’t hurt yourself.

@@linctheweightlifter04 Correct or incorrect? Just learn to improve your movements... And what others lift is not comparable. And I'm a bodybuilder, I don't do the same type of training as you, although squats, for example, are the same for any sport.

It will be a freaking hard road, without disrepect at all, your leverages are awfull. I take the liberty to say that cause I have the same shit... long a.. femurs, short shins and torso and this is hell. Your squat is really good granted this huge handicap. You seem young and I hope you gonna get this 400lbs and much more. My piece of advice as a quite old lad, don't neglect mobility especially hips and ankle, I did and my right hip is a total mess. Best of luck brother.

@@linctheweightlifter04 dont bias to only one component of fitness. What about speed? Explosiveness? Agility? Coordination?. Clarence is way more complete athlete

Road to 400 for back squat? Good work, stay motivated. Posting videos is a good way to track progress and keep yourself accountable. UA-cam randomly showed me this so I have no idea what you’re up to, so I am going to drop some random unsolicited advice as an old man. If you don’t have a program then that’s step 1, the majority of all competitive powerlifters and weightlifters do not wing their own program. You don’t “need” a coach but you should run a program. Tip 2 is remember it’s a marathon not a sprint. Tip 3 If you plan on competing you should ditch the mirror, you would be surprised at how much it can throw you off not having one if you have always looked at yourself while lifting.
