@@Rex1000_RR 👍
This is crazy because literally for the last couple of weeks I've been looking up how to do this. My stuff arrived yesterday and nobody on UA-cam or Facebook groups had covered this. Next thing you know your video pops up on my recommended page 😂 Great video man!
I’m glad it worked out so well. I definitely felt the same way that there is a lack of info online for this bike. Hoping to change that somewhat with my mods and these videos. What else you have coming in?
@@Rex1000_RR Installed a set of headers already, waiting on a belly pan extender and radiator guards. I'll get a full set of crash protection at some point too. May swap out the Akrapovic can for an Arrow one. Then I'll leave it alone
@@R1ACEnice sounds like you’re well on your way. These bikes don’t need much but setting it up right is part of the fun for me. Where do you ride?
I just wish the bike was about 3 centimeters lower! But I didn't want to have to disassemble half the BMW to do this... other than that. this bike is perfect
It def is made to suit taller riders. It’s not too hard to disassemble if really needed tho. Def a perfect bike
👍👍

How often you change oil on your 740?
On the X7 I did my first oil change at 4k miles. Really depends on how you drive whether it’s more city vs highway. The more wear and tear the more often you should change your oil. BMW does 3 at 10k intervals so you can just wait for those or add in some extras in between. The most important is the first oil change since it gets rid of manufacturing debris that might exist as the engine is put through its paces which is why I did mine at 4k. Waiting till 10k felt too long. Also depends on how long you plan on keeping the vehicle. For the short term the 10k is probably fine but if you want to keep it long term than I would at least do it every 7500
@@Rex1000_RR Thinking of keeping the car, B58 is an excellent engine
@@easternbeast3615good thinking!
x7 with m sport looks the best in white, not in other colors. Love what you did what your car man. Btw, are those 23in rims? Hows the ride quality?
Much appreciated! I love the white. It’s a popular color tho so at times wish I got something more unique but can’t go wrong with it either way. The rims are actually 22inch. I live in south Florida where the roads are pretty good but you can def feel the bumps if road conditions aren’t ideal. RFT also are a little harsh but that’s to be expected.
I stumbled across your video man, and it’s safe to say I’m fully onboard with getting an X7 for the wife. Thank you!
Glad to hear! It’s a great vehicle. Share a pic when you get it
@@Rex1000_RR I don’t know if I want the 60 or the 40. Maybe I’ll let her choose.
Please take off those grille stickers omg
Nope! And they’re not stickers

Thanks!! Definitely love it. Here is a link for the M grill inserts: Lanyun compatible with bmw X7 G07... www.amazon.com/dp/B0CH59WW6C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
a question. Why did you remove the downforce winglets? They didn't work for you?
They’re not really downforce winglets in this application just cosmetic. This is my track bike so ended up taking them off
Could you see yourself buying/driving this if you didn’t have a family? Or maybe getting the M instead? I am a single guy and when I seen the x7 was introduced I felt like this would be a really great investment vehicle that could be monetized very well. Just asking for an honest opinion, or would you recommend another x model.
If it was just me I def would not have gotten an X7. It’s a great people carrier but if I don’t have people to carry then it’s just big for no reason. If you want an SUV I would go with the X5 or even X3. The M is mainly for fun ultimately costs more in gas and more maintenance costs as well so gotta weigh out if that’s worth it for you. Now as an investment vehicle that would definitely change things and you would have to perform your own market analysis based on your location. Both X7 and X5 exude luxury so it’s whether or not you’ll book more/make more off those extra seats that will ultimately answer that question.
Why are you playing with the oil already?? Just let BMW do it dude, it’s Okay to let it go to 10k, engineers figured it out already. Geesh
You’re welcome to take care of your own vehicle as you wish. Something to consider tho is what did engineers figure out? What is their end goal? To make sure the car lasts forever or just until warranty period is over/maintain resale value? Changing the oil is simple and when done properly can never be a bad thing in my opinion.
I am trying to replace the gear shifter and left swing arm mount bracket on my Ninja 400. Thanks for all the information; it was really helpful. My swing arm mount was also bent. I am trying to unscrew it, but the 22mm bolt just won't come out. Do you have any suggestions?
Is it not coming out from the bend? If you need more leverage try adding an extension. The further away you apply pressure the more torque you’ll have to break it lose.
@@Rex1000_RR thanks bro !! Tried a longer wrench worked for me. It was really stuck there due to the bend. 👍🏽
Glad to hear! Safe riding!
Dude, i love the lip. How has it held up? This is our favorite of all the other ones on the market
Thanks!! It’s actually held up really well. I would recommend it. The X7 also is a amazing. No complaints even now
@@Rex1000_RR amazing. Thank you!
do you need to rebalance the tires?
You only have the balance the tires when they are initially installed on to the rim

Hi! I don’t want to take the bike apart again but here is the parts diagram to show how everything should fit www.partzilla.com/catalog/kawasaki/motorcycle/2022/ninja-400-ex400hnfan/rear-wheel-chain

I wonder if this would work on the ninja 500.... are they safe? Any chance of wiggle? Does it sit more aggressive without bumping anything
The 500 is pretty much the same bike as the 400 with just some changes to the engine so it should work. It def helps positioning immensely for me. There are others for even more aggressive positioning but any further than this set up you have to either cut the fairings or get race fairings. They are def safe as long as they are installed correctly. These are made my woodcraft which is a solid company that makes a lot of products for track/race bikes.
@@Rex1000_RR sounds good! They actually make ninja 500 ones. I'm just wanting to make sure they are going to be less upright seating than the stock ones
@@Rex1000_RR oh and does it come with the grips

Hmm yea I’ll have to see what’s out there!

You’re entitled to your opinion but to me true M vehicles retain the M badging. M Sports like mine are the tri-color badging. Got it on my 335i M Sport as well 🤟🏾🤟🏾
@@Rex1000_RRhahahahahaha
Did you notice any impact on fuel economy due to the Front Splitter?
Honestly I don’t think it helps or hurts. Def not anything wind tested. I get about 20-21 mpg primarily city driving and mostly in eco mode. Didn’t change after adding splitter. I drive fairly quick but don’t have a lead foot. Got heavy popo in my area and they love to pull people over
Very informative videos. We are also looking to get an X7, and your review and other videos sealed the deal for me. I am also planning to emulate your X7’s look once we get ours. Thanks for providing all the links in your other video. Can you share details on how you do the ceramic coating yourself and what products you use? Also, any thoughts on getting bucket seats vs. a bench? I am leaning towards a bench because it allows the second row to fully fold down, and the cup holders for kids would be much more accessible being in the middle as opposed to on the floor.
Thanks for the support! Just made a video answering your questions. Please let me know if you have anything else you would like for me to address. Good luck with the purchase of your x7! ua-cam.com/video/mYSg-0y6UaE/v-deo.htmlsi=PLlZB4DnQHxmxLyK

How did you take the barend stuff out to install the spacer? I couldn’t take the plug out
Is yours from woodcraft? These are just pushed in there so you just use a set of pliers and yank it out. Takes some effort. You can try to not damage the barend but I found you had to really squeeze the pliers so mine got a few scratches. Not a big deal since I’m not going to use the bar ends anyway

Bruhh show me the process of removing the handle bar weights and installing the lever protectors
Are you having trouble with something? There’s not much to it just gotta remove the bolt on the side of the bar end and switch it out for the lever guard. Just position the lever guard correctly based on your preference and loctite for extra security. Let me know if you have any questions. I got new clip-ons coming in so I’ll make a more thorough video when I’m installing those in the coming weeks
When my brake caliper fell like yours did a bit of fluid came out. Should I worry about that?
That’s seems odd to me was it brake fluid? That system needs to be air-tight otherwise you won’t have proper brake pressure. Def want to try to verify where the fluid came from. Check the pads and make sure the pistons aren’t pitted. Maybe afterwords quickly bleed the brakes and top off your brake fluid. Make sure you have strong brake pressure before you ride.
@@Rex1000_RR ahh unfortunate. I just learned how to even get the wheel off yesterday. I’ve been trying to get this bike ready to ride for weeks 😂😅

Hey, I was analyzing your UA-cam Channel. I saw there are some big problems in your channel. As a result you didn't get views from video. I can solve it freely if you give me opportunity. I've got some exciting plans for your Channel, and I'm eager to share them with you. Let's connect and explore the possibilities.
Hello! Those brake lines are lighter than the OEM's? Thank you!
Honestly I’m not sure. The reason to switch to braided lines is because it doesn’t undergo hose expansion under pressure. This allows you to have more feel and a better response when braking.
At how many miles more or less did your tire wear indicate it’s time for a change , based on how you’ve been riding and your local roads ?
I’m just under 4k miles now and def had a lot more to go. Hard to say exactly how much tho. Front def had a lot more to go than rear. Road condition and riding style def play a big role in how long tires last. In Florida we have a lot of straight roads so more likely for the tire becoming squared off as well. Always important to do a pre-ride inspections and pay attention to those wear bars
I’m having a hard time finding a stand for my wife’s 2023 ninja 400. Revzilla didn’t have anything, I don’t understand

Yeaaaa not much to it haha
Hi,why do you need to flip the bracket if the shocks are the same length ?
If the aftermarket shock you’re using is the same length then you do not. Can just switch out the shocks without having to mess with the brackets at all
Can you show how you install it
Sure can ua-cam.com/video/m6tKjPXBkhk/v-deo.htmlsi=Zo2AlR04V4-j8mVx
Did you try moving the adjuster to #5 before the swap???? Men need more preload adjustment for their weight.😮
I did not. I’m not too heavy only weigh about 165. The aftermarket shock allows for more adjustments. Plus it allows the rear to feel a lot more planted and less bouncy.
Nice bike💯
What stands are you using?
I’m not sure the brand. Just some cheap ones I got off amazon years ago. Def not the best. Pitbull stands are great and honestly for a front stand if you don’t have a spool then much safer and easier to get the stand that inserts into your lower triple tree (steering stem). Rears def want to use spool stands def makes it much easier/safer as well
why don't you try making an intake path like the new ninja 250 ARRC and velocity
I might do something like that in the future but the reason I dropped down to a 400 was to become a better rider. They sell a Ram air but might not be worth it for this bike. Some people have also cut the airbox and adding stacks. I plan on tuning the bike eventually so will most likely figure it out by then
