This was written about my 8th great grandfather Jean Cadieux who was a Coureur des Bois/ Voyager.

Why does the sheet music and audio not match? Examples are at m. 25-26, m. 72-73. The sopranos are adding extra little notes. Just wondering if this was done at the composer or director’s direction. I want to teach it this fall but this is a bit conflicting.

My choir concert was last night and the high school sang this. It was beautiful and they sang so good! It was so fun I sang three songs

Dr. Ron Kean is a remarkable composer and weaver of sound. I had the honor of studying under his direction for several years. Performing in his college choir and chamber group lended me some of the most rewarding and memorable moments in my life and i will forever cherish his work and the time I spent under his guidance. Thank you for all the memories and great music you shared with us Dr. Kean. You are truly one of a kind and you have a beautiful soul. I appreciate all of the many elements of culture and song that you graced us with to learn from. God bless you and your work, it was quite a privilege to have a teacher like you to learn from.
