I'm a Jock . I moved to Somerset in 2009 and i love England . Burnham is a bonny wee town with loads of really good shops and cafés. It's great meeting the lovely people from Birmingham and the midlands who visit for breaks and the Welsh ,too. I had no idea of local history till i got to know a few locals. .

Tell them to get off their arse and get a job. Most of them are on illegal drugs, drink beer and smoke cigarette because people are stupid enough to keep giving them so they will continue to beg. The law needs to show them the help available, offer it to them if they refuse then let them sleep on the streets. I am 34 have my own house work 50hrs a week to have what I have why should I and many others give away our hard earned money to these lazy fools? We shouldn't and I certainly won't. I do have empathy for people under 21 who don't know the way of the world but grown men no sorry they can do one.

Sorry...the decline of Brierley Hill since I was a kid in the 70's, is heartbreaking! There is nothing now, in Brierley Hill worth going to and if it weren't for ASDA at the top of Pearson St, there would be nothing- although I still have my hair cut in Stuarts! A lot was to do with Merry Hell - although not the cause of everything bad, and it had an impact on other towns in the region too! There was some Boston folk back in the day - still are don't get me wrong but, now, like everywhere else...well, I'll leave you to fathom out what I'm thinking...but the underbelly is there for all to see and feel, whatever time of the day - certainly if you grew up there in the 'old days', you would know exactly what I mean! I was once very proud to say I come from Brierley Hill, now... now I'm just sad for the way The Black Country has gotten, like a lot of places up and down the country...Glad you enjoyed your visit though!

Thank you for doing this I remember needing socks wen to sue riyder charity shop they said you have to buy them no money was winter I had sores on feet due to walking so at night time I went to search there bins there was a container full of clothing and good to sell stuff but bagged up for the rag man they sell each bag for about £1 well in one of them bags was a whole Bin bag full Of socks god blessed me they lasted for about 2 years keep up your good work ✊🏻👍🏻
