In 2018, Shannon and I were fortunate enough to hike the beautiful Fish River Canyon with precious friends and family. What a wonderfully isolating experience!

My brother, uncle and I climbed Kilimanjaro via the Rongai route in 2015. I had to hike the first day in the clothes I flew to in due to lost luggage. Fortunately, an incredible porter came to the rescue by meeting me at our first campsite with my rucksack strapped to the front of his motorbike. Tanzanian generosity and kindness at its finest!

I visited Shan while she was on exchange in Amsterdam at the end of 2019. After showing me around the incredible city that she had come to call her home, we visited Prague, Ghent and London.

Over the course of three short days, Matt and I drove from Zambia to Namibia in a rally-converted Landrover Defender. On the last day of the trip, we had to cross the width of Namibia - from the Caprivi strip to Swakopmond. After dealing with electrical fires, overheating, car-swallowing potholes and Matt's gaseous bowels we reached the old German seaside town.

We had a wonderful week of summer weather in the middle of winter while on holiday in Pringle Bay, South Africa.
