I don't care what anybody says about this band and the earlier days with Diamond Dave. This version brought them to a whole new level. To me this tour (F.U.C..K.) with Alice & Chains was the best of all. I've seen them 15x with every possible line up, including Gary Cherone, this tour sounded awesome and they had there shit together.

As a 25 year guitar player (EVH is the reason I picked up the instrument) The 'For unlawful Carnal Knowledge' guitar tone and sound was my favorite.

Music just isn't as good as the Van Halen days. The electric guitar has it's place in those who sit in their bedrooms..and acts that still make some money on tours...if they are big enough. But the electric guitar fell out of vogue by the early 2000s..surely blues and rock did..it's old hat. They want to hear Rap, Hip Hop, Female vocal superstars. The guitar is just not popular for new music. We're just living the last days, remembering the good days. We haven't had a guitar hero since the 90s..Zakk Wylde may be one of the last ones. Joe Bonamassa ..that's about it. The 80s had dozens of guitar gods. Name one new guitar god in 30 years..Buckethead? Just don't know man... I hope it comes back to a cool place it once was. Gibson went bankrupt. Sales are down. Same thing with movies, no more movie stars..Oh we have..Matt Dillon..Leonardo Dicaprio..that's about it. Ben Affleck..Wheres the Cary Grants, the Jack Nicholsons, the Nicholas Cages, and new Tarantinos? Sorry, I'm ranting like Dennis Miller during election year.
