Norway - Forever Golden

Travel restictions and a short season gave us little more than ten days to chase the last of the water this year in Norway. Regardless we still had an amazing time in this country and where reminded once again that for a kayaker especially, life is always good in Norway. This Is Only The Beginning | Hawaii 2020
Переглядів 40 тис.4 роки тому
Although returning numerous times, in the past the boys had little luck when it came to heavy rains on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Big Island is home to what seems like an endless abundance of waterfalls, many of which appear possible to run, as long as the rains could deliver. Though after the first few weeks it seemed as though it would be another year without hard enough rains, they had no...
Pure Power | The Rhondu Gorge of the Indus
Переглядів 182 тис.4 роки тому
In November Dane met up with the California boys to experience a river like no other, the Rhondu gorge of the Indus. Flowing 86 miles from the valley of Skardu, it has become a river even the top kayakers of the world wonder if they feel up to the challenge. It's got insane power flowing down steep rapids, creating huge features, making every rapid a stout after the next. It's a river so big th...

Judges Reel UNLEASHEDxQUEBEC Stage 1 - Big Trick
Переглядів 6 тис.5 років тому
We started off the 2019 Unleashed with our Big Trick Stage on the Rib Wave in Bryson, QC. It is a challenging feature but when you were given a good pass it allowed for some solid tricks and combos from the athletes. The judges were looking for the athlete's top 3 tricks from their 2 hour session, with no limit on how many rides to take. Combos counted as one trick, and backwards tricks, or any...

Stage 4 presented by Kokatat happened to be the Giant Slalom Ride competition on the Basse Cache river. Competitors had to race a very tricky and demanding gate setup on a class V run just outside of Quebec City. As this happend to be the last of the four stages there was still room for big changes on the final scoreboard so athletes had to go extra hard in order to make it to the top! What a d...

Stage 3 presented by dewerstone happened to be the Best Ride competition on the Rouge river. Competitors threw down their best rides with focus on tricks, style and flow. Unleashed 2019 | Stage 2 | Boater X
Переглядів 24 тис.5 років тому
Stage 2 presented by Pyranha unfolded as a big water Boater X style race through the gauntlet section of the Rouge. Racers battled head to head through an enormous piece of whitewater and down a challenging course with a must make move to the finish line at the bottom. Some huge upsets were had in today's race, carnage unfolded and aerial overtakes were almost common place. What a day of racing...

To the video producers: do you think when a paddler disappears into a hole, that we viewers would like to see if he comes out or not, BEFORE you cut to another shot? Just, maybe!?

In the course of a river this is called the upper or mountain course. Here vertical corrasion is predominant. That is why very deep v- shaped valleys are formed. If the rocks are very resistant then gorges are formed.

Only person to influence me that I didn’t know personally. Thanks for shining your light, grateful for how you spent your time here ❤. Your videos got me sobered up, got my certs, and got my first job safety kayaking and teaching and saw the impact i can have on people using kayaking. After starting that journey two years ago I am moving into my car tomorrow full time to kayak and film videos that can hopefully help people., crazy finding this out the day before. He helped spark my path and influenced my decisions from the other side of the world. I might not be his friend, but he was my friend. thanks Bren, seriously dude.

For those of you who are scared to try kayaking because of this video, let me calm your fears by telling you that, even though the river looks pretty scary, it's actually not too dangerous with a little practice. The real danger is the estimated 12,000 crocodiles that live in the Zambezi Valley. Happy paddling!☺

Landed kinda flat at 2:56. I wonder how many inches he lost off of his height with that? Just so cool how the music fades when he goes into the tunnel, then starts up again as he exits.

Ok, I know this comment is 3 years too late, but important things must be said! Let's talk about the mystery move, from 5:08 until 5:21. First, I love that we've brought back the classic river runner boat with the low volume stern, (not sure how much that thing costs, but it sure looks like a Dagger RPM to me). Second, the stern squirt-to-mystery-move; he went to a dark place and I wasn't sure if he was coming back, while Dane must surely have been laughing his a** off. best 15 seconds of kayak video I've seen in quite a while...

Thank god for granite, basalt, and water. Thank kayak manufacturers for kayaks! Love Dane's reaction to going down that ditch at way over the speed limit. That, and his reaction to going down the "water slide" on Taniya Creek were priceless. He must have been a race car driver in a previous life. Would have paid money to hear the reactions of the rest of you as you went down the ditch.

Another thing which it is good to remember is that there is no youth without age. It makes me happy to see that you are totally sending it in your youth, and I hope you'll keep doing what you can on the rivers as you progress into old age. You might have to slow down as you age, but never stop. I kept kayaking into my 70's and only stopped when I was forced to after being hit and paralyzed by a drunk driver. I'd have rather died putting my kayak away after a memorable day on a river, but that wasn't in the cards. It is my hope that it will be in the cards for all of you. I enjoy the heck out of your videos though, and I hope you'll keep them coming. When a new kayaking video comes out, it makes my day. Thanks! Best wishes, and keep sending it!
