Always a fun watch :) Jane Withers was probably one of the most positive people in Hollywood, saw the humor in being nemesis to Shirley Temple without having a hang-up about it, played roles that weren't necessarily A-list but always put her heart & soul into her work. As kids in the 60's, we laughed at her plumber commercials hawking drain cleaner - as an older adult, I've come to respect Jane Withers for the indomitable spirit she was :)

Richard Crane was perfect as the stalwart Commander Rocky Jones, ot the Space Rangers, in this sci-fi adventure series set in the year 2000. Scotty Beckett was terrific as Winky, his young cadet co-pilot, and all us boys had a crush on the lovely Veena Ray (Sally Mansfield) in her "cross your heart" straps. Maurice Cass played the Chief of Operations at Space Central on Earth. The costumes were outstanding. Visual effects typical for the time, and the acting was good.

This is a feature film version of the classic sci-fi TV series ROCKY JONES, SPACE RANGER (1953-1955) edited from a two-part episode, made in early 1954. This feature version was released for syndication on television in 1956.

A delightful late Depression-Era family Comedy, I enjoyed it immensely; I especially love the heroine ‘Jerry’, a precocious little-girl who’s personality reminds Me of a mix between Shirley Temple’s Characters and girl-sleuth ‘Nancy Drew’! This is a gem!! Thank-You so much for uploading!

Grandparents agreed, 40-50s, except nukes and racism in America, was how they wish earth remained. No women’s lib, nuclear (I didn’t make up the term) families, no divorces even if mistresss. Dads and moms respected. Summer holidays everyone, grandparents too. Hopeful future of logic reason and rationality the gods of the day. Sci fi and horror films, drive in movie theatre. The CEO didn’t make more than 10x you did. The middle class never stringer, America stood for good jobs not greed, science not feelings, more diseases cured than the next 100 years. Not all gloom and doom. Even I remember when from London to New York to Australia every tv and radio news program ended with a true good news story in 60s early 70s. Our grandparents weren’t of same race or religion but both sides agreed ‘those were the days my son.’ Thank you so much for these. My husband and I haven’t gone in date night to see a movie in umpteen years now. He a country boy never thought he’d see the day. Ty❤❤❤❤❤❤

I owned and rode and showed horses for a good portion of my life. I never cease to be amazed at the efforts made to make these movies realistic. A lot of the time these horses are being ridden at a controlled full gallop and that is not easy to do.
