I haven't watched any of the tv shows but I have read the stories. Poe is one of my favorite authors. I took a seminar about him at University and I loved it. I did watch the movie The Others which is an adaptation of The Turn of the Screw.

I’m sorry but this isn’t underrated, it’s one of the most popular books in the world.

flanagan's adaptation are truly amazing and we have similar rankings of the shows lol! the haunting of hill house and midnight mass are my faves. i found bly manor to be boring but there's a movie called the turning with finn wolfhard based off the turning of the screw which i prefer more. also your feelings abt liam payne's passing are valid. it still feels unreal. loved the video and wishing you the best with your new job!! ❤

I think I actually prefer Flanagan’s adaptations to all of the novels on which they’re based, so I understand your feelings. Maybe it’s a time thing. When they came out they were all revolutionary because horror wasn’t as common. Now we expect more from our horror and so Flanagan’s adaptations really scratch that itch. I appreciate the books most when I think of what they did for the future of horror, rather than as reads in themselves
