Lost my grandma in March of this year and my dad in July. This has me crying and I miss them both so much

I went to a concert with some friends once and Mark was one of the opening acts. I liked his music to the point that when it was over I bought one of his CD's as we were leaving. I saw him standing there signing autographs on the CD's and he seemed nice enough on stage so I went over and asked him if he would sign mine and I don't know if he was just tired or if his friendliness on stage was part of the act but he didn't seem all that friendly once I walked up to him. He seemed all nice and smiling to everyone else around, but for some reason it was me he blew off like I was just an inconvenience.

Heard this song for the first the the year my brother was killed In October and my dad died 3 weeks later in November. Right before the holidays 3 weeks apart and I had to pull over because I couldn’t stop crying I was crying harder then ever but it was a cry I needed to have the cry I was holding in ugh this song speaks so much

My wife sent me this video. I am humbled at how Mark has carefully put to lyrics exactly what I think about and feel. I pray daily that God will direct my heart and my actions as I am a Dad that worries about His children. I have three kids. The first was a boy and the 2nd and 3rd were twins. God gave me my children and I am so proud of them. But 5 years ago, one of the twins passed away suddenly. This left a huge hole in me, my son and Jeff's twin Sister. I've always wondered what Jeff thought of his Dad and how did I do. This song makes me think, I did okay. I've been blessed in so many ways, now to hear this song for the first time, is just another way that the Lord is telling me that just maybe, I did do something right. Jeff was an awesome engineer and moreover, a man of God as he was also a Pastor. As I listened to this song, it has helped me to further believe, God has answered my prayers and my question? Once you lose someone life is not the same and each loss is different how the come, how they feel and how we deal.

We lost our daughter last year, I was numb the first Christmas, it was so soon, I was in shock. Well, reality has kicked in, I would skip Christmas, Thanksgivings ALL, of it, but she has 3 young adult children, HOW DO YOU GO ON? Only with God, my heart grieves so for all who have lost a child😢
