when i was a kid my parents had the 1973 180b sss coupe. british spec. was an awesome car. such a shame there are almost none left now.

I’d like to see it on standard steel wheels but banded nice and wide. My mom had a W reg (1981??) 180b in yellow with brown vinyl roof… it was a mechanically sound car but the body rusted out

Hi Mate love your work, your car looks mint, I have a 1979 180b (810) and I am just starting to process of restoring it and wondered if you could help me with some info on how you lowered it?, I plan on putting coil overs from a S13 in the front but not sure about the rear, any suggestions? Did the Skyline engine fit easy enough? I am still not sure what I am going to do engine wise, I have the old 1.8L plus I have a Toyota 1JZ in the shed that I could drop in or I also have an option of a LS1 that my mate wants to sell, but the last two options will require some work and a new rear end to handle the power. Are you running stock rear end or did you change it out? if you did what did you uses and was there much fabrication required. I was thinking a S13 rear sub Fram ect would help with lowering it plus the S13 diff would be better suited to more power. What do you think? Once again love your car, I am a fellow Scot but live in New Zealand now, hope you are all keeping safe from this Covid virus

It brings back so many good memories to me. It was my first car to drive. We had it in Iraq from 1979 to 2012. I literally grew up with it.

i have owned one year 1980 1.8 liter engine.would be fun to own another one again same year modell.

I used to see Datsun 810s a lot when I was a boy. I found them at the time more attractive than Toyota's Cressida.

Cool!! Ivè had a tuned Datsun 180B hatchback my self back in the late 80- and earley 90-iees. About 120 hp (wich was good then) and 5 gears. Nice to see others with a cool Datsun.

this is a UK spec 180B (810) it came with either L16 (1600) or L18(1800). not the ausy 200B (i do have one imported to UK though)

great work. those fjs are almost bulletproof! what country are you in? in australia, what you have was badged as a 200b i think they are an 810? the had a l20 (2 litre four cylinder) and were also available in a sss coupe.

Got a 180B ´73 myself, and almost exactly same colour than yours. Engine is original 18L turbocharged with intercooler. At 70´ the cars still looked like cars and felt like cars, nowadays they all look the same (Ugly as hell) and are all made of plastic. You made a hell of a job there! Must raise a glass for that! :0)
