I Tried CBD Oil for my Anxiety for 6 Months- Here's What Happened
CBD oil for anxiety has recently become a popular way to relieve anxiety but is there any truth to it? As a person with anxiety disorders, I was very interested to find out for myself.
In this video, we'll go over what CBD is, how it differs from THC, what the research for CBD and anxiety looks like, and then we will test it out for 6 months. Finally, we will look at whether CBD actually alleviates anxiety (particularly mine), whether I recommend you try it, and if I'll continue to use it myself.
I've personally been seeing so many people online preach about the effects of CBD oil for anxiety, as well as other mental illnesses. I've also seen many of my friends use it as a means of treatment; often swearing by it as the only thing that helps them. So, I started off with some academic research on CBD and the results were surprisingly... not promising.
Nonetheless, I really wanted to give CBD a try due to all its hype, so I committed to trying CBD oil for 6 months to see if it would improve my anxiety, and here's what happened!

Having an effective anti-anxiety morning routine can make or break your day if you struggle with anxiety and I've really learned this the hard way. How to Survive a Panic Attack
Переглядів 1264 роки тому
As a person with Panic Disorder, I've had more than my fair share of panic attacks. Panic attacks are a fear response, triggered by our Amygdala (our brain's alarm system) letting us know we're in trouble- even if we're not. Panic attacks feel awful, and can be incredibly debilitating, especially in the moment. So, as a person that experiences panic attacks often and as a practitioner in Social...
Are you on any antidepressants? Does probiotics help with the stomach pain after taking magnesium
Get heavy mink blanket. It's warm, but it's heavy.
Magnesium Citrate is for constipation too so I think that's what messed up your stomach .
Where did you go ?
Magnesium Bisglycinate is what you want for those issues... not citrate.
You took the wrong magnesium for anxiety. You need to take magnesium glycinate. Hope that helps.
how long to take ,ru taking also
@@johnjones99124 I takr every night before bed.
Too bad you started using the WRONG magnesium, citrate is for bowel movements Glycinate or threonate is more affective for anxiety, stress, physical problems (muscles) and brain calmness Should have done more research on magnesium and what your needs were, to buy the correct type
Have you tried Saint John's wort? I'd love to see a review on it's efficacy
didnt work for me. I tried a few times and as instructed. Some people say it works for them, it takes a while to work but no matter how I tried, it did not work for me.
As you experienced taking Magnesium for any sort of problematic anxiety will not make a jot of difference. Looking for a supplement, vitamins or changing your diet to overcome an anxiety problem is another symptom of anxiety it is just another manifestation of the problem. Sadly one that is exploited by supplement companies and people who should know better. Understand what problematic anxiety is, its a cognitive (thinking) disorder a mental health issue where you develop a disordered relationship with your thoughts and feelings when you experience the normal human anxiety response - you become scared and afraid of feeling anxiety itself, which then of course feeds it and makes it worse. Trying to get rid of it, or cure it will only make it worse and is completely unnecessary - learning that you do not need to be scared and if you let it be it will pass very quickly in its own because thats how we are built. If we see a tiger and feel anxious we can hide run, once we are away from the threat of the tiger anxiety goes down. However if we are afraid of our own bodies and thoughts we can’t ever get away from the threat because is us. So accepting and allowing the feelings, not trying to get rid of them, or push them away is the fix and anxiety will fade in the same way it does when we are away from the tiger. Our threat response goes down and our brains learn it is not a threat, just uncomfortable for a bit - its quite simple. However it flies in the face of all we would logically think to do, but with anxiety the paradox is doing the opposite is what works. Continually looking for something to fix you is how people can get stuck for years - there is nothing to fix, only the mistaken belief that there is.
Hello! I've been using Magnesium Glycinate for my anxiety and it worked so well! I can sleep peacefully now without interruption. My anxiety is manageable and not overwhelming like it used to. It's definitely life changing.
How long did you take it before seeing results

Rubbish video. Trying to add humor when it's a serious topic. Maybe u just took an overdose of magnesium. Cut it down cause you look ridiculous.
No dry jokes please. It's rubbish when you doing a video on anxiety get serious. 🤦🤦🤦
When people are having anxiety and looking for some help please get directly to the point.
ITS NOT WORKING FOR YOU BCOS YOU'RE EXERCISING AND WHATEVER MAGNESIUM U R PUTTING IN IS BEING DEPLETED FASTER THAN U R PUTTING IN.
DOCTORS ALL OVER THE WORLD ARE BASTARDS
Thanks for making the video. It was really helpful. 🤗🤗🤗 PS loved the rock Lee reference 😂
Thanks for your honest opinion!
I found that magnesium Glycinate works much better than magnesium citrate
how long to take it
Pills and tablets have fillers that can make anxiety worse
Platinum naturals magnesium bisglycinate has no fillers 🌻
Glyconate can be the hardest for most people.
How so
magnesium glycinate ** works for anxiety
Anyone use mag chloride, easier on stomach transdermal
I am sure you will find good remedies for all your medical issues on the Weedborn page :)
Can anyone please tell me that can I take Lexapro along with magnesium glycinate?? If anyone is taking this both ???
someone in family taking both for almost a year, adding mag glycinate definitely helps, and now adding mag threonate and expecting even better results
IF YOU CONTINUE TO TAKE AD'S LIKE LEXAPRO ALONGWITH MAGNESIUM OR WHATEVER ELSE, U WILL NEVER GET OUT OF THE RUT OF DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY. LEXAPRO IS DAMAGING YOUR BRAIN DAILY, SO HOW THE HECK DO YOU EXPECT TO HEAL YOUR BRAIN? STOP LEXAPRO AND OTHER MEDS SLOWLY AND SWITCH TO NUTRITION. THIS WILL HEAL U

The symtoms you were having with your stomach I had last month and I was not on magnesium. I went to the doctor and I was told it was acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome. They put me on omeprazole and It got better. I read that anxiety can cause these stomach issues😔
How do you cope with anxiety tho?
Omeprazol is bad. You may search
H2O just add water OMG the nostalgia!!
Magnesium citrate suppose to be not as good as some others 🤔
Magnesium glyconate is better for anxiety I was taking 400 mg but I felt knots in my stomach so I went down to 200 mg and it works perfectly well for my anxiety and no stomach issues at all
Indeed! Citrate is more for muscles .., bisglycinate is better for anxiety..

I'm really upset ! After 30 plus years of depression and severe anxiety, not a single doctor ever mentioned Magnesium! Moreover, I suffer from Fibromyalgia, which is quite often very intense and debilitating! I have been robbed of the best years of myself life, merely told about Anti depressant and anxiety medication with all of its side effects! Shame on these doctors who mereley acted like legal drug pushers and Surgeons, ignorant of so many important natural things! The soreness of my muscles makes it often impossible to even get out of bed! Never mind the endless joyful times Missed out on, including trips and vacations!
Check out Dr. Berg on YT.
I totally get your frustration! I think though that also a lot of these supplements have limited research on them and aren't regulated by any bodies which is why it's prob not ideal for medical professionals to prescribe these types of things unless they're 100% sure it's needed. Also from my own experience I've had many docs tell me that natural approaches to managing my anxiety aren't going to be effective because my anxiety is just too high (which is pretty much what happened with the magenisum for me). But everyone does respond differently to different types of treatment so perhaps a more natural route would be more ideal for you!! I hope you feel better soon <3 :)
I hear you! "Not one single doctor EVER mentioned Magnesium!" At times, it seems they know nothing. I too, missed out on many years of good health because of seeking answers and NEVER getting any from the doctors. There are many of us that have gone thru what you've gone through. That's why we ourselves have to do the research on what's wrong with our health and what can we do about it. The doctors I've seen about my stomach problems only pushed pills that aggravated my condition even more. In addition to your taking Magnesium, research about taking Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2/Mk-7. Vitamin D3 is another vitamin that a LOT of people are very deficient in. One of the MANY things that Vitamin D3 helps with is skeletal and muscle pain. Research about taking Vitamin D3 in higher dosage to alleviate your pains. Dr. Berg is a good source and also Dr. John Campbell too. I, personally, take 15,000 IU's of Vitamin D3 per day, my MD doctor recommended this dosage because I have a problem with absorption. Also, I take (1) Vitamin K2/MK-7 90mcg with taking the Vitamin D3. This helps with absorption of the Vitamin D3.
Right! Thank goodness I love to read and do my own research. I have been riddled with bad GAD for 10 months straight at total of 10 years diagnosed. These past 10 months have been nonstop, I currently came across magnesium supplement called calm and how well it works. I ordered it and am patiently waiting for its arrival 🤗
"legal drug pushers " in deed , more precisely PHARMACY pushers, which means POISON pushers(look up etymology of pharmacy) Most Doctors sold their soul, some doctors still have morality in them.Very rare in comparison to how many IN-DOCTRINATED DOCTORS there are. Light from lamps will never shine in it again. Voices of brides and grooms will never be heard in it again. Its merchants were the important people of the world, because all THE NATIONS WERE DECIEVED BY ITS WITCHCRAFT Pharmacy also means Sorcerer,poisoner... Learn from da13thsun for more
The medical industrial complex's failure to properly research and diagnose and treat microbiome and sleep and vital nutritional deficiency issues (including those related to Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 and Magnesium deficiencies as well as iatrogenic prescription medication usage) is a major reason why psychiatric iatrogenesis is a primary contributor to the third leading cause of death in the U.S. (which is iatrogenesis in general). If the U.S. spent just a fraction of the over $40 billion each year it spends just on iatrogenic psychiatric drugs alone, for properly researching the issues discussed in this and related UA-cam presentations we would probably, Lord willing, achieve an absolute revolution in medical efficacy improvement and iatrogenesis reduction. Thomas Steven Roth, MBA, MD Christian Minister for Biblical Medical Ethics, and therefore, Scientific and Religious Refugee from the Clinical Practice of Psychiatric Standards of Care
I just started taking more Magnesium and in my research I read you should take Magnesium Taurate - it says it is the only magnesium that can pass through the blood/brain barrier, but I would check it out yourself.
See de
Threonate...
Thank you a great deal! :)
Glad you enjoyed it!! <3
Magnesium is needed for 300 enzimatic reaction in the body. The body needs to function correclty. SSRI (prescription drugs) depletes magnesium. In Usa 70% dont consume enough magnesium in their diet (vegies) also mineral depletion of soils make thing worse thats why you see a lot people dying early. Have you seen a vegetarian depresed or ill? Stress depletes magnesium also high sugar intake, coffe, excessive exercise, have you seen those body builders the look old as fck the only focus on building muscle, magnesium controls celullar senecense. Big pharma will keep ill the are no interesed on fixing the problem at all. So eat you vegies and by the way magnesium absorption decreases withe age.
Yes, eat veggies but also with all things you mentioned... I think Supplement is almost NEEDED.
I have the same issues. It's terrible!!!! I just turned 40 years old and I've had this all my life. I tried Zoloft and I didn't like it all. So I just try to deal with it. It's so hard. I have night time panic attacks too
I totally get where you're coming from. Just one panic attack is more than enough for one lifetime but having them all the time chronically is just so exhausting. Prescription drugs are definitely a hit or miss for most of us. I'm hoping you can still find something that helps even the slightest. Sending you hugs!!
Magnesium Glycinate is soo much better than Magnesium Citrate, in regards to muscle and anxiety relief, less stress on the intestinal tract, and absorption is better with Magnesium Glycinate.
I agree, Glycinate and Threonate are amazing. Some studies claim that Threaonate passes the brain's blood barrier faster than other Magnesium solutions. (Just google scholar Magnesium Threonate and blood brain barrier to find the study ) However, I take Threonate because it does not make me as drowsy as Glycinate.
@@jameslacey5341 Thank you for the info. Very interesting, I'm going to research the threonate, as well.
It's wild that I never even came across this type of Magnesium during my research but I'm so glad it got brought up in this comment section. Have you tried any specific brands that you'd recommend?
@@jameslacey5341 I had no idea! Thanks so much for sharing this info, I will definitely be taking a look!
@@mentalhealthmemo4190 I always buy the Doctor's Best brand on Amazon. The big bottle of this Magnesium Glycinate 240 caplets is usually around $15 and will last around two months, if you're taking the suggested dose of 400 mg per day.
magneism glycinate is a better version for depression and anxiety. Magneisum citrate is mostly for people who are constipated.
When I was doing my research I never came across Magenisum Glycinate but now I'll definitely take a look and maybe try that out instead if it's better known to help anxiety + depression. Thanks so much for your insight on this! :)
I agree, Magnesium Glycinate is awesome for absorption to get the the muscle and mind relaxing effects.
I love magnesium glycinate! it calms me down so much when i get anxious! Been getting anxious recently and took some without paying attention and I just started to chill out of no where. its awesome
