Honestly - has there ever been an 'As seen on TV' product that so completely delivers what it says on the box? The Nu-Wave Oven and Ronco Rotisserie probably come close - and the Nu-Wave may have arguably had a bigger impact in it's target market - but the Range Mate is a passive, non-electric product with no moving parts that literally transforms your microwave into an infrared cooker and grill( and arguably a combi cooker, when using the steaming tray). It and other similar products since then really do feel like something dreamed up as a product from 'Back to the Future'.🙃

I remember seeing this a long time ago! Thank you for preserving this! 6:17 - Liar! You can do bread in the microwave. There's even a "bread" or "roll" setting on some for warming it! 8:40 - That "pizza" looks nasty. All the cheese slid off of it! He didn't even bother to scrape it off and put it back on. Yeah, I also agree with everyone else, looks undercooked to me too. I'd rather put something like that in my toaster oven. 20:20 - Its still edible believe it or not, just not very palatable. I figured out by sandwiching the turnover between two heavy stoneware plates and microwaving it, you'll get nearly the same results as that contraption. 21:30 - Soggiest quesadilla ever. 20:48 - Uhh... no, those shrimp do not look fully cooked to me. I've had too many bad experiences with shellfish and my gut is turning looking at that. I have to say the moral of the story is no matter what you use, microwaved food still looks gross no matter what. Stick to conventional methods. (This contraption is pretty much obsolete anyway with the advent of convection ovens and air fryers.) PS - If you want to see another microwaved monstrosity, check out the infomercial for Smartware with a recipe for a microwaved egg dish. That's just plain disgusting too. I'd comment that on that video, but YT wouldn't let me.
