@@baylorgriffinI came across a book recently called The Deconstruction of Christianity by Alisa Childers and Tim Barnett…..have you read it or have any thoughts on it?
I think for the people who call it deconstruction but end up having a stronger faith should instead call it unlearning. In my experience it seems like being born again is simply unlearning all the belief systems you were taught that you shouldn't ask questions or that you're not good enough or like all the rules that they make up saying you're going to go to hell if you do this and that. God just wants a relationship with you and I feel like that's the first priority and if you do that that is seeking the kingdom of God and everything else will come after. Not to mention just the belief system that public schools in bed in your brain that may not necessarily have anything to do with Jesus or religion. But deconstruction means you have to reconstruct eventually but unlearning just means the things that aren't serving you in a positive way you just kind of let go and replace them with more positive beliefs that help you thrive and be abundant and help others in the process. Sebastian Enges said "The greatest gift you could give anybody is to be the best version of yourself"
No, i could not more firmly reject that statement of yours. I had never felt more alone when I was surrounded by a community of god fearing christians who had this distant glassy look in their eye as they felt the obligation to propagate the faith in any and every way possible. Now i can finally have peaceful nights where I dont feel an obligation to justify the endless misdeeds of a malignant celestial dictator. That bible is nothing more than a virulent plague for the spirit.
This is my veiw as well.
Love this book!
Thanks 4sharing
Deconstruction is simply breaking down one's personal beliefs after realising they were wrong. I deconstructed from Christianity because I saw and see no good reason to believe in it, but others ik have deconstructed from other religions. And no, the evidence of the ressurection does not count because there isn't any. There's evidence he existed, and that he died, we have the roman death records, but there's none of him being ressurected outside the bible. Should also say that in future, if you're dealing with someone like me who does not believe in the bible, quoting the bible at them will not convince them of the bible. Kinda like me trying to convert you to Islam by quoting the quran, a book you don't believe in. That's just an FYI, not really a central point
biblical conservative religious ...all the worst "values" of any worldview
It's the church that is wrong
So is your issue with atheists/agnostic people that study theology in general? Or just people who study theology and are also outspokenly anti-religious?
I think it's the moronic waste of time and money to be a hater and nothing else.
bro does not have a phd in theology
Now hear me out, what if there are just a bunch of questions that modern society and particularly science have unearthed that religion can't and won't ever answer?
I disagree with the premise of your question, though I do see your sentiment as kind. Truth is more than facts, and more than the interpretation or teachings of said facts. John the Beloved detailed that Jesus is the Logos (Word) and the Truth (John 1:1-3; 14:6). Our questions, however sincere or complicated, ask if God is as good as He says He is. In Christ alone, we find out. Pastors lose sight of the narrow path of Scripture answering our questions outside of the PERSON of Jesus Christ. We can B know all the facts and still wrongly apply them, but in God, through Christ, is the wisdom. After all, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
@bradleymiller1126 Truth is not more than facts. Otherwise truth loses its meaning. Everything else was just proselytizing and I don't care to address what was scribbled down 2,000 years ago.
@@rileysullivan6587 I’m sorry you feel that way. Do you think what was true 2000 years ago does not apply to today? That does not seem congruent to the “nature” of truth. Absolute truth must transcend absolutely. It cannot be diminished and must withstand all criticism, deviation, denial, and eras of understanding. If the Creator of All things walked into your life (which he created) and explained himself and his ways, would you live your life differently? If not, it is because you yourself reject truth. The Bible is the story of God, Creator of All entering His creation, revealing Himself and His ways. So are you rejecting Him?
@bradleymiller1126 It is possible that something that was true is still true even thousands of years later. But you would have to establish that it's true first. Your religion fails to do that.
Ur god dam right
Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated. Romans 9:13 KJV. This tells me, a believer. God has his favorites, he has his chosen. If you are not in those various groups, you will suffer. Predisposition is real in my opinion. Some are loved, some are not so loved. I would like to hear your opinion on this.
The Bible also says to hate your mother and father. Do you believe, perhaps, that we're not to literally hate them? Maybe it's pointing to something else?
This argument doesn't work. The universe isn't just old, it bears the scars of history. That history was not fake.
Absolutely brilliant! light bulb moment
Aye. you may not know me. My name is Michael. I'm everyone's friend, and if you don't think so it's because you dont know me yet. Valid point, understanding Dad likes making things old is a cool point to be at. Thank you for explaining it well to others. 🫠🥳
The answer about the age of the Earth is literally right under our nose. God made Adam and Eve as adults and he can create anything with age already. 6000 years is alot more than you think when it comes to generations. Thats alot of people. 6 days yess, 24 hours times 6. And yes it was created in such a way that makes it look a billion years old. And who knows God is eternal and maybe he is in a sense the universe which is billions of billions of years old
People are gettin saved. Maybe not from one man like Billy but for example alot of celebrities are turning to christ and i think they feel it not only because we are spiritual creatures lookin for spirituality but because jesus is comin back really soon and people are either being hot or cold like you were mentioning in the last video. Have you been following Russell Brand?
Sparrow is a good cool name for a kid. Sparrow Griffin, even more badass

Jesus do any of that ? No he didn’t but only spoke means supplication means only GOD can do miracle means Jesus is not GOD
So close but so far. I’ll do you one better “And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.” Luke 18:19 So you see here, Jesus clearly isn’t God! Aha! We got Jesus! Wait a minute “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:11 Wait so being the good teacher is bad, but good shepherd is ok? Or maybe Jesus is calling Himself God by measure of calling God good, then Himself good.
Also open up Philippians 2
You said did Jesus did all of that? Then you said no he spoke!!! You know what that mean? He made supplication to GOD and got permission to turn the water in to wine, so Jesus can do nothing by himself means he is dependent means he is not GOD. Only GOD can do such a miracle
This blew my mind! Former witch, new ager, and medium here saved by Jesus Christ a little over a year ago! I’m watching the full episode now and can’t wait to watch the others posted and the episodes to come! Praise God and thank you so much!!! 🫶🏻🩵🌊 **Subscribed**!

Nice. So you're saying that even though God spoke the universe into existence it was at a mature age. Just like Adam. An older man who's 1 day old.
That’s correct. I go into further detail in the full episode that’s linked in the description.
In case you actually struggle with this concept, ruin your brain/mind completely by reminding yourself that he conceptualised and MADE time. Making something with a time effect is therefore light work, and I won't bother to burden you with how great a pun saying "light work" could be if we consider Roger Penrose's discussion on light and time in his cyclical universe model.

The shooter was 20 when he committed the atrocity that gripped the nation's attention on that fateful day, but rewind to when he was just 8 and his mother was already suspecting he had some serious developmental abnormalities. She was a fundamentalist Christian whose worldview had been trimmed down through the keyhole of a rather doctrinaire Biblical interpretation, so she was convinced that demonic possession was responsible for her son's disquieting behavior and subsequently began praying for his psychological improvement. After years of seeing no progress, and even worsening, she began taking him from church to church in search of a pastor willing to perform an exorcism on him, and she was successful in this pursuit. In fact, she found more than one church willing to do this, but of course despite these efforts, he still went on to assassinate over a dozen people before taking his own life. Now, in terms of her religion and scripture, what exactly went wrong here? I mean, according to the Bible, demons really do exist and Jesus really casts them out. In terms of her religious beliefs, we cannot identify what went wrong. Clearly she and everyone else involved would have been better off if she had availed herself of a 21st-century conversation and understanding about mental health and psychiatric therapy and medicine instead of confining herself to a 1st-century worldview of demonic possession and miracle healing. Anyone who takes morals and ethics seriously needs to contemplate this soberly, I would submit.
1. Premise 7 (“free will cannot exist in Heaven”) is flawed: • This premise assumes that free will inevitably leads to sin, but it doesn’t account for the possibility of free will existing without the choice to sin in Heaven. According to Christian theology, while humans have free will, they can be perfected in their nature in Heaven, choosing only good because of their perfect union with God. Free will doesn’t necessarily imply the presence of sin but rather the capacity for love and choice. 2. Premise 8 (“free will must exist for love to exist”) is correct, but its contradiction with premise 7 is due to a misunderstanding: • The contradiction arises because premise 7 incorrectly assumes that sin is an unavoidable outcome of free will. In Heaven, free will exists, but because of a perfect, sinless nature, beings freely choose to love God without the temptation or possibility of sin. In Christian theology, it’s believed that sin will no longer be an option in the New Heaven and Earth because people’s wills will be aligned perfectly with God’s goodness.
@@SundayMorningMatcha (7) was a conclusion, not a premise. It was deduced by the valid and sound premises that preceded it. The same arguments theists use to defend God against the Problem of Evil also prove that Heaven cannot exist. Why does God allow evil and suffering? Because a world without evil is a world without good. If you can never choose evil, then you are compelled to choose good, and that is neither a choice nor good. What’s worse, a world without suffering is a world with no choice whatsoever. If Timmy is suffering because his girlfriend dumped him and no one came to his birthday party, how could God have prevented this? Only by compelling his girlfriend to stay with him and forcing his classmates to attend his party. If others are free, Timmy may suffer. Therefore, suffering is the price of freedom. But if God can’t stop suffering or evil on Earth, how can there be a place, Heaven, where neither exists? A land of eternal bliss would be devoid of volition and ambition. Why make plans? You can’t possibly improve on perfect bliss. Therefore, you can never experience accomplishment. You can never be relieved that you escaped some peril. You can never hope for anything different or better. You’ll never have any new stories to tell. In fact, you’ll have all day everyday to talk with your “friends” (who will be compelled to hang out with you lest you suffer from their rejection), but none of you will have anything to say. You won’t talk about plans or goals, since you’ll have neither. You won’t have anything to report except how joyful you are. Repenting of sins is a false gospel stop trust yourself and trust Christ for salvation for by grace are ye saved through faith.
Trust yourself, and you will fall short of God’s glory Everytime. What did Christ Jesus say to the woman who was going to be stoned? He said ‘Go and *sin no more*, aka repent.

Yeah.. um.. wrong. You aren't, lol, creating a religion by saying you can worship whoever you want in school. You aren't saying your God is beneath me either. They are going by societal rule, which has a moral and ethical compass guided by religion. If you are talking about some cult school not accredited, then yeah your statement may be true. The majority of schools are absent of religion and are supposed to stick to curriculum and the ability to critically think. You have pulled an extreme thought together without the many variables that supercede it.
