    Love it. I'm going to do this exact design for my trash bin pad. My question is that if you lay concrete, won't it be impossible to replace or resettle the pavers in the future?

    • @beaufortner
      @beaufortner Місяць тому

      No you could chip it off easily if need be. You could also use plastic edge restrain instead of concrete if you wanted i just prefer the concrete.

    What if you’re trying to match the level of an existing patio

    • @beaufortner
      @beaufortner Місяць тому

      Just set your screed bars at the right depth depending on your paver thickness. And go about 1/4" higher because the sand will compact that much.

    I have a similar 2000 Bobcat 331 and the right pedal for the arm articulation doesn’t work. I think the linkage is bend. How do I remove that 6” floor plate that has the drive controls and pedals? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    the only part of sand that is compacted is where you are kneeling, so the rest of the sand will sink after after the slabs are laid.

    • @beaufortner
      @beaufortner 7 місяців тому

      That is by design, you lay the pavers then compact them into the sand

    i rebuilt my 337 swivel joint , very similar to yours. Mine had scoring in the bore so i lightly honed it. It lasted a couple hundred hours then started leaking again. Im guessing the scores will tear up the seals quickly. Cant get a new swivel for mine anymore and nothing seems to be out there used either.

    Have you guys ever had a problem with the Magnetic lockout switch for hydraulics when you throw the arm down? My light will light up for a second but then go away, and then sometimes it will turn on and be just fine.

    @beaufortner that lever that fixed your thumb is to switch the aux hydraulics to 2-way or 1-way (for example a hammer). It's trying to show you dripping oil in to a tank or pumping it I guess lol

    Why not install the greaseable shackle bolts with the grease zerk facing the other direction ( facing inboard) so they could all be greased with the tire/wheel assemblies installed ? Or leave the zerks facing outboard and change out the straight zerks to 90 degree zerks to allow for tire /wheel clearance when greasing.?

    Thats like rolling out a shirt on the dirt. Looks so much easier than 2 inch thick green water soaked stuff grown in clay. Looks so much easier, but arround here if you werent laying green sod down your getting fired. So this is fascinating.

    I have done a ton of sod, but never seen anything that looks like that. It looks dead, but i guess thats how that stuff starts out. 2 things to say about that, one is that when all the sod is green people tend to freak out after brown seams show up, eventhough they go away in a few weeks. The other point is that stuff looks so much lighter than the stuff we used, that after setting 5000 sq ft in a day you really feel that weight. I would imagine it would be a little cheaper, but so much sod is grown up here in the northwest its pretty resonable.

    Not sure where you guys are from, but thats some of the craziest looking sand i have ever seen. Flaming orange. Looks good, ive done some projects like that, ive never used those poles to skreet, but i guess its a time saver. We just got very good at skreeting long stretches.

    Never use a level (an expensive tool) as a screed board!!! You want that level to be accurate, never use it like that!!! Use a straight board, the middle ofa walkway should be slightly higher than the outer edge (water run-off) the only things that should be level are the outer edges, other than that use a board, duh!!! Every one of these, you see a homeowner using a level, you see contractors using a screed board!!!
