In my country the 8700F (and G by extension) is around 170€ to 200€ cheaper, while also having very similar performance for quite a few games. chose the 8700F, because of that. haven't used it yet, since I am waiting for a few other parts to arrive as well.

Appreciate the video. Like the fact it was short and got right to the point. One suggestion: Please include the screen resolution and the game title somewhere. If you listed it, it was not obvious to me. Again, thanks!

Honestly, I own an 8700G and, based solely on expectations, I anticipated it would underperform compared to a previous generation Ryzen 9, especially when paired with a powerful GPU. I was prepared to witness a bottleneck, yet it appears to hold up quite well.

While using the 8700G the gpu is much cooler than on the 7800x3D build. Sadly the benchmark doesn’t include Power Usage or CPU Temp. The only reason the 7800x3D still has higher fps is likely the V-Cache, which the 8700G doesn’t have. As of now it looks like the 8700G is quieter, cooler, and most consistent on the lows vs avg fps, thus has more bang for the buck.

i5 12400f and only 7462 score, is this serious and indicates that the cpu is defective? To know if it is time to ask for a warranty, it is worth clarifying that my ram is single channel, and I think it is a little defective. I did a benchmark of the ram and it had very bad results, but I don't think that is the reason for such a bad score. on my cpu

Tested on Windows 10. That's going to negatively impact Intel, as Windows 10 lacks support for Intel's hybrid architecture.

Let the rx6600 with just 1 GB of vram and itll give u 20 fps as well...

This is a great comparison, really appreciate it. I keep hearing that NVIDIA "blows AMD out of the water" but neither of these would have been playable on RT Ultra and they were barely distinguishable on RT high. Plus, I keep noticing that I prefer the color rendering on the AMD cards, it's just more...vibrant.

8700G isn't too bad. Runs about 10°C cooler as well. The 7800X3D will ultimately give better performance, but you have to invest in a dGPU just to start, whereas the 8700G has a decent iGPU for starters, and you can upgrade to a dGPU later.

The answer is save 150$ and go for Ryzen 7 8700G

Your test is useless. You are not able to check the performance and compare both CPUs because your GPU is the bottleneck (99% usage). You are misleading people that the 8700G is only slightly less efficient than the 7800X3D... The truth is that the 7800X3D is much more efficient using a dedicated GPU.

AMD adrenaline software is way better than NVIDIA or Intel. The recently update has improved a lot my gaming experience plus there are many options as well and straightforward

Is this using the driver-level FSR?

So would it be bad to pair this chip to a card like the 4070 super or a perfect combination kinda confused on that?

Thanks for the review. Did you enable CPU Boost in Bios? Abd the VRAM can be increased to dedicated, At least you should enable 8GB out of your RAMs dedicated for the IGPU which will improve performance. Install the latest AMD Drivers clean install. Intel and Nvidia are really pissed off lol
