Yes it was mesmerising in real life!

you know.. i have learned a lot last half year.. to be honest it becomes hard to watch for me as well :D In the mean time i bought my own mountain glider and a few sure soaring gliders. I am back from lijak now and will go to lijak and ahornach in 5 weeks :D i am Hooked! So the glider that i bought is a Niviuk Hook 6 P.

So, small explaination. We where with a training school. There where always two instructor at launch. One talking through radio and checking wing etc. Other instructor also check wing from different angle. These where our first and second flights. In may we will go to lijak Slovenia and you will see improvements then!

They always checked the wing. They layed it out and checked from both sides

​​​@@DennisCampsNobody except the first is looking up after inflating the wing. Just last week I had to help a pilot down from a ski lift because he had cravattes on each side but proceeded the start nevertheless. He stayed unharmed but he needs a new set of lines.

⁠thank you for your comment, you are right that we didn’t look at the wing for cravats. We where with a group of very inexperienced people. But we where with a school. We always had 2 instructors at launch site to check our wings. If we would have been aborted. Cheers

Wing checking on forward launch is a little controversial. Some say you should look up, others say it can cause instability in the wing when slowing and easing tension in lines when trying to look up. Personally, I never look and always go on feel and have never had a problem. However, I will always do a reverse launch whenever possible, then you are 100% sure.

@@DennisCamps yes of Course….. if you look the Starts you See that quiet everyone forces the wing and starts without control of the wing….. as those are all new wings already a Speed of 2,5mph is enough to keep the wing up and this gives you also a lot of time to control and stabilize if needed…… most of the pilots doesn‘t even take a look if the wing is perfectly open without any cravats…… to summarize too much effort and stress…… should do it much calmer and so also safer…….. the landings are quit all made with already pulled brakes ….. thats not good and also dangerous….. all New wings have a high Flare factor…. This gives you the posdibility to fly full speed which is much safer for Rotors and Wind shares….. then only use the brake when you are 1 Meter above ground to flare and brake……. It seems but this is only my Impression that all this pilots have only tiny experience in Mountain Flying….. maybe you come from a country without Mountains? This is only my Impression…… I live in the Alps im the middle of the Dolomiten Mountains and each starting mistake means death ( unfortunately also today a pilot died:-(…) several this month……. I Hope my first comment wasn‘t too unfriendly but I‘ve already seen so Mans people be killed and injured that it makes me angry if I see how dangerous some people try to fly :-)

@@paulino3320 Thank you for the feedback. So we all did a beginners cours, al these flights where first flights ever done so no one had any experience. The only thing we did was 1 or 2 days ground handling in 0 wind. After this course I bought my own set and I do understand what you mean. We had instructors laying out the wing and looking for Crevits or other dangers. Instructor would abort us if things where not ok. Anyway I appreciate your comment and maybe it seems rude at the start, you only have good intentions :) and I am happy to learn. We are all from the Netherlands, 0 mountains… ;)

The pilot pod will not work with proper weight shift movement. The pilot pod will twist and cross steer making coordinated turns improbable. Definitely needs a fabric wing with a floating cross bar.

We could print you one at a size suitable for you. We will not share the files unfortunately. There is just to much work in it.

But we will prefer to test the pilot first before selling

@@DennisCamps I am very curious if it works, and I like the idea that he turns around his own axis

because the servo type connectors on them are rated 10a max. since the device can deliver 20a peak, it makes sense to have two of them. they are actually in parallel from the output. you have to connect both to your load to minimize voltage drop and to deliver the max current possible

they sound nice and its like u have 1,5 degree more pitch. i like them very stable blade.
