In theory, the node red version can take inputs from anything and output to digital dash. Been ages since I've cracked into this given my personal life struggles lol.

Hi Trevor. The analog sensors convert to digital via arduino mcu's. Translates it into my home brew canbus and sends to pi.

Sorry man, nothing is easy on this project lol... you can probably take my design to build a ms ready version. I may make more of a skin eventually. My engine roasted so I'm going to bew tdi with obd2. So things are going to evolve.

Hi! Yeah, sort of. Digifiz dash app is made via python with Pygame. It reacts to mqtt messages via nodered. Nodered receives and translates canbus sensor data from my arduino mcu's.

Hey man! Not sure I needed the pi4 but makes it easier. Maybe you could run a pi screen off csi and the hdmi out at same time on 3b? Not sure if that can work.

Sorry for delay. Never got that far. I was using a guys project a guy made for his Manx. He was using the Arduino to write to a text file after each drive.

To each their own... I wanted Steelies instead of the edgy rims I had before. Eventually going to paint or powder coat white.

Hey! Only the 7 inch screen is displaying openautopro. The larger screen just runs my pygame dash program in full screen. I made most of it myself from cobbled together internet searches and rabbit holes of learning lol. Unfortunately, it isn't the cleanest code etc. It's on github though. Definitely pretty diy. There is a guy on UA-cam with a rv project using real dash. Scott Cook I think. I'll try to find his channel. Good luck on your project.

It's a hsd123pkw panel. There are a few different control boards, so find one that fits your needs. I wish it had accessible backlight controls, but I found a software solution that should mimic it. I bought this panel and control board off AliExpress, that particular item isn't available from the seller but others have it.

You can follow along with the previous videos, unfortunately it's now vlog style than tutorial. I barely know the steps myself lol. Things are on github. Maybe i will be able to do a tutorial series one day though.

Hey Garrett, I have currently set things up with arduino Nanos in the interior and a mega for the engine sensors. I might be switching to wireless with esp8266 or esp32. Also considering a teensy 4.0 for the engine sensor control instead as it's much quicker than the mega. I have a few videos on that end. You can check my older content for some hints. @ovensgarage and @motorvatediy have some good content on the matter.

@@Gfunkbus76 are you using it for engine control or just monitoring? I'm looking to just monitor and use the stock ecu for the motor

@Garrett Hunter just monitoring. Mine is a mechanical injection turbo diesel. No real electronics to run. So just monitoring various sensors etc. There is Speeduino for engine control... but not needed here.

Awesome, wish there was a better way to ask questions than UA-cam's comments. I have decided to just jump into this project head on, we'll see what happens. I bought an Arduino uno, openauto pro, and various other pieces. Really Im just looking to monitor my Oil pressure, water temp, RPM, do a gps speedo, and fuel. Mostly thermistors, hopefully I can figure it all out.

Do you happen to have an Instagram or Facebook that I can PM you at? I've got my openauto and my Arduino. I have my Arduino reading the thermistor and outputting the temp reading in the terminal and to an LCD. Need help with the API for openauto and getting data from one to another
