Thanks for the good words; I try my best to pass information (mostly on walls combo :) ). In M1G3, they had open mana: I have had the weirdest cards played in response to a freed, so I go in automatic with the safe route of Galvanic Alchemist in these cases, since 99% of these things don't work against Alchemist. I had 10 minutes, which is a LOT to kill an opp on just 20 life :)

@@Scuzgar theoretically yes, but it costs more (and in this deck I aimed to speed) and the 3 toughness is a big liability… I started the concept several years ago with axebane, then moved to battlement especially when I started using many orochis. Today, with hydra we might consider again less orochi and possibly axebane

@@apass7241 ooooh i missed the casting cost! yeah, i see what you meant it definitely is not an upgrade. the first deck i ever brewed was an axebane guardian + untap enchantment + defender mill combo lol. but the difference between 2 and 3 mana AND 4 vs 3 toughness is enormous. thanks for the response, and great video!

Thanks for the kind words! For sure I will also do "normal" Walls videos in the future. This was an experiment for the video/audio format (and I am in a phase mostly liking brews because I am little bored by the online metagame).

Thanks for the nice words! I love the deck and the challenge to adapt it to any metagame. The present one is really hard for us, but we can still be positive with reasonable play and a bit of luck! Our match was very good: even if I lost 0-2 the games were fought! Congratulations for the top 2!

Thanks! Luck was (as needed) a big factor too, but lots of small choices matter, starting from the mulligans.

Hello, I am trying only 1 dreadmask. It is powerful as seen in this video and a good cascade, but also not a creature and therefore bad with ww/lts. I placed in the spot previously occupied by Vivien’s Grizzly.

Given the opponent play I was 90% sure he would burn me up the successive turn, so I tried to find a win that turn. I wanted to play scholar in order to try to untap in response to burn in opp turn, but ended up 1 mana short. Therefore I started wondering if there was a different, better line.

Ciao e grazie per i complimenti! Lo scopo dei video è proprio quello di servire come food-for-thought per chi approccia walls in pauper. In futuro potrei fare video con audio e più dettagliati, ma la pigrizia è potente. Per le liste che ho provato ultimamente guarda i miei risultati degli ultimi due challenge sul sito wizard o mtggoldfish. Non sono però certo che, almeno online, questa versione di mana-base sia usabile a livello più alto della lega. Per qualunque cosa messaggi privati o unisciti al discord di walls!

I do not have a sideguide yet for this list (I don’t really like guides); in general assess match and remove the harder to ply or less impactful cards there (e.g. late game only cards against fast decks). BG gardens is our worst MU by far (so we generally lose). I bring in acolytes and tamiyo (removing 1 ent, 2 winding ways, 1 drift) and hope, in order, 1) to be faster (esp game 1) 2) save one key creature with the side and win later 3) refill from graveyard. Against gardens early Ents are good.
