@@stockehistorica1349 I use the newest build of RPCS3 and like 1.00 build of USA version. It gave me a black screen with audio but when I went to the RPCS3 website and used their recommended settings the game worked. The same still crashes whenever you hover over any special machine on the vehicle select screen though. You can prevent this crash by changing between the recompiler and interpreter modes on the emulator settings, but this also absolutely tanks your FPS so I wouldn’t bother unless you’ve trapped yourself in a loop of soft locking. Or really wanna play with the special machines bad enough that you’re willing to play the game in slow motion lol

@@kuzidas4213 That's sad :( I was hoping there was some way to have the game fully playable like other PS3 games I've tried with emulator. But I guess we can't have everything.

latest rpcs3 and whatever version of ridge racer 7 you can find, it's very simple (same goes for rr6, with the latest version of xenia)

There are a lot of weird edges on the ground in this game. The amount of times I’ve crashed because I drove over a curb and it bounced me 30 feet in the air is too damn high

@@kuzidas4213 mate I always go on 2 wheels and flip upside down then hit a wall and randomly get shot up into the air

During Savo second Paris race, i flight from the mountain to get the last checkpoint, but when my Torque JX touched the ground, the collision physics got broken and i fall to the limbo. I got respawned after lost the race.

I haven't pushed public releases of the mod in a lot of updates because it modifies a file that contains a LOT of important data and therefore has incredibly low compatibility with other mods. Currently I am using a list that makes multiple changes like move speed adjustments, player acceleration speed, etc. and they all change the same file as one one this does to make the passive health regeneration work. If you know even a little bit about modding I can explain what lines to change if you're interested, but like I said--I haven't the updated version of the mod (I've been using it privately) because I've changed a lot more than just the health regen. If you're still interested, though, let me know.

@@kuzidas4213 As I understand it, we are talking about editing text files, I used to edit cfg files of other games, I am only interested in slow health regeneration, it would be great if you write a short instruction on how to edit DL2 files, thanks in advance!

I actually never got a chance to properly play MC3, so I wouldn't know. The bikes in MC2 are finicky (but not any more than every other vehicle) and can jitter inconsistently when landing from jumps and colliding with sign posts and stuff, but I still enjoy them so much more than the cars to the point where I race exclusively on the bikes

@@kuzidas4213 If you can master the bike, it makes the game quite easy honestly

@@vanadium5099 yes I only play the bikes in MC2 and enjoy it a lot. I wipe the floor with the CPU even on diff 9 on bike only playthroughs. But it’s easy to say that now decades later. When I first played this game as a kid it would takes me weeks to just finish one race.

Thank you! From what I hear a lot of this stuff has gotten nerfed (apparently you get forced into a slide if you go too fast) Mostly I just most random off clips of games I play so that I can show my friends. I don't typically make "content" per se. Thanks for the sub anyway though!

Seriously?! Out of the multitude of things they could’ve worked on, it was the go fast exploits? Fuck. That was one of the major redeeming qualities of the game. Maybe they thought it was worth patching cuz they didn’t want people exploring out of bounds areas that clearly showed unfinished areas of the game? Cuz I def used it to find those areas, but despite the disappointment, it was still fun finding the aborted remains of the game world. Please tell me someone created a mod that restores the khop

This may be happening if you are using double tap the crouch button to dodge. Try inputting your dodges earlier!

Also… I 100% completed this game quite a while ago and I don’t have it installed anymore, so I can’t check if recent patches have fixed this. Sorry!
