Love connects in silence, an interesting film

Amazing movie! They need to do a sequel and i have the script already in my mind how it should go! Love this movie and can watch it over and over again!

Superb, make me cry at the end

I have seen this movie before in bits and pieces, not in its entirety until now. Thomas Jouannet was great as Werner. The nonverbal communication between him and Jeanne played by Delarmme spoke volume with their eyes. I can watch this movie over and over again. The book it was based on missed so much.

The only time that Werner “messed up” (other than being in nazi in the first place), was when he tried to open the door of Jeanne’s room. We see Jeanne, standing on the other side of her locked door and the door handle is jiggling. It kind of destroys the idea of him being “noble”.

This is the first time that I watched this movie in its entirety. I have seen it in bits and pieces. The book left a lot missing. I shall watch it again and again. Thank you for making it available. Ah, the beauty of non verbal communication 😂!

This was really a terrible movie. That poor kid kept on falling down and getting hurt. I never want to see this movie again. A hundred times over i will never watch this movie again. And they thought they caught a lot of fish? Are you kidding me, there were what? Ten little fishes. And that guy who kept wanting to warm up. Sheeesh… he should get himself some gloves. And why is everyone driving around in French cars? What a lousy movie.

Good thing she doesn't have sex with him; she would've been marched through the streets with her head shaved after liberation if she had. Quite a fantasy, this movie. In reality, a German captain, a Nazi, would likely have felt consorting with common French people to be beneath him, as they were not the master race.

This movie shows that there are love and victims on both sides. So sad. War is cruel. Lost loves and mothers crying on both sides as they lose loved ones.

This is one of the best romance stories during the Occupation ! It is so simply told by the facial expressions of the couple without having to say a single word. Indeed it is so tastefully done that it doesn’t need sex and profanity to tell the story. My praise for the producer and director who made this movies. The emotion is tremendous !

C’est le plus beau film pour moi. Je l’ai vu en France après sa sortie 3 fois. Et à Bangkok cette année sur You Tube. Peu de mots. Peu de dialogue, des actors , de cadres. Mais captivant.Excellent casting. Sublime musique. Un film d’âme.
