I’ve been boating on your leg of the trip for a long time. Harborside has an amazing restaurant and heritage harbor has the best food. It’s a fun trip. I’m now on Lake Michigan.

Another great leg of the journey. My boat is now all tucked away in heated storage for the long winter here in Ohio. All these loop videos will get me thru the storage season.

Nice Video! Those water falls are SEPA. Sidestream Elevated Pool Aeration. Pumps water from the river up to a pool, then lets it fall back in to add oxygen into the water. I used to live in Joliet. Nice boat rafting spot...Bicentennial Park. At one time they had Drag Boats there. You have more Locks to go! Bon Voyage!

I used to fly into Benton Harbor and we would drive over the river to St Joseph. We went to a river front restaurant called Clementine's for lunch. As a corporate pilot I got to see a lot of rural America and loved it.

We had to get the electric fly swatter/zappers, they are Sheltie approved as no whacking is involved.

If you had spent a bit more time in Kingston you might have bumped into us walking our three shelties. Kingston is actually known for it's Cambodian food, but you picked one of the better Chinese spots. Your pups are both handsome and pretty.

From the very first day I learned of the Great Loop I've had Loop fever. That was many years ago. One day I hope to experience the loop. So fun watching your adventure. Great video.

That’s crazy about the railroad bridge. I’m glad we were not out that day. We keep our Chris Craft at Pier 1000. Luckily this summer we only got stuck twice waiting on a train with the boat. Two other times we were on our jet skis so we could go under. Safe travels!

Before I retired as a corporate pilot I went to Benton Harbor many times. We had a small plant in Benton Harbor but would always drive over to St. Joseph to have lunch. Clementine's is the place to go!

Not sure how your spider poop removal spray worked, but i use a product called Clean Boat. I saw it advertised on Facebook and gave it a try. It is a concentrate and you mix it with water in a spray bottle. I have a problem with black streaks and Clean Boat takes them off without removing the wax. Good product. I did a review of it on my UA-cam channel.

That was a great tour of the fort. That crooked blockhouse has been like that for many decades . It is one of the oldest , still standing structures in Michigan .

We were anchored beside you in Goblin Bay that weekend. This is our home cruising ground, and we flagged down another loop boat that was about about to hit that shoal. We stopped them before they left another mark on their boat and their wallet. We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your loop.

i am sure you have done your research, there is a 15ft fix bridge and about 400 to 500 mile stretch on the Missisippi river that has NO fuel stops

The lighthouse at the 11:13, is Wagushance lighthouse, it was abandoned in 1912, after White Shoal was built in 1911. Wagushance was used by the military in World War Two for target practice

Great Anchorage

The sound you heard on Mackinac Bridge is from metal grates. The bridge is two lanes north and two lanes south. The inner lanes in each direction are metal grates and the outter lanes are concrete. The snow can fall through the grates in the winter as it melts.

What is the fuel consumed for that distance in that size boat?
