    Wow, your words of wisdom and observation exceeds the hundreds of thousands my company last time paid to some international 6 sigma consultants in an effort to 'transform the work culture'. The money was wasted as no improvement happened. It is true, if the working environment is 'happy', staff are less resillient. Too tough, they cannot take it. Too good, they get complacent. I just found your channel and had watched the video about self discipline and was a real eye opener.....because you mentioned problem sticking to discipline can be due to unmet emotions. Very interesting 🤔. Off to watch the third video of yours that UA-cam recommending to me.

    Sir I've heard and observed various interviews of successful people saying that most of today's high earning and top positions in corporate world or business are filled up with sales-people so what is the secret or training of sales people which makes them so great and valuable apart from other trades also which books should i read to understand and implement those strategies to grow in my career as design and site engineer which involves selling as well to commercial construction clients and consultants...

    • @KaiDLeifert
      @KaiDLeifert Місяць тому

      Thank you for this insightful question! You're spot on-sales skills really do play a crucial role in climbing the corporate ladder and securing those top-tier positions. It's true, many leaders you'll find in high-earning roles have a knack for selling not just their products, but their visions and themselves as well. Now, I'll be the first to admit that sales and marketing haven't always been my forte-it's an area I've had my challenges with too! However, I've found incredible value in "Building a StoryBrand" by Donald Miller. This book does a fantastic job of breaking down the core principles of effective communication in a way that's both engaging and easy to grasp. It helped me a lot, and I believe it can offer you some golden nuggets to apply in your role as a design and site engineer, especially when dealing with clients and consultants. And speaking of books, I think it's about time I start including a "recommended reading" section in my videos-just kidding! But, who knows, maybe it’s not such a bad idea after all! 😉 Thanks again for your question. Keep pushing boundaries and exploring new ways to blend your technical expertise with the art of selling. Here's to your continued success!

    Excellent analysis 💜 Sir what would be some best books to read for People skills- i have heard that Co-workers are not your friends so how to build relationships at work to succeed faster than normal as it is said that network is networth ? Could you explain what one should be doing strategically in order to increase value & influence without being trapped in taking unwise steps or staying around losers.. People or experts on this issue have different and contradicting view points some say coworkers are not your friends, some say they can be friends..its confusing so last stop is i believe in your opinion about complex subjects...

    • @KaiDLeifert
      @KaiDLeifert 4 місяці тому

      First of all, your question around a strategic approach for work relationships resonates with me. I feel that this topic is worth its own video and I will put this on my list! Thank you!! Personally I had some great work relationships that stayed completely professional and a few (very few!) that lasted long before our professional paths parted. I don't think there is a one size fits all but it depends on how you wish to integrate your work with the rest of your lifestyle. Again - great content for an upcoming video! And finally, books. There are so many resources these days and I find it hard to pick a favorite. So let me go with a couple of choices that are probably not mainstream. Both of them are not purely about relationships with others but then I beleive that growing as individuals will also determine who we interact with. I highly recommend "Lost Connections" by Johann Hari for its profound analysis of human interactions and "Not a Life Coach" by James Smith. Both of those books resonated with my personal values but even if you disagree with the authors you will learn quite a bit!. Thanks so much for your inspiration and support!

    Most promotions are just reconfirmation that you are already doing the duties of the new role with begrudging recognition via formal job title change

    • @KaiDLeifert
      @KaiDLeifert 4 місяці тому

      I do think that assuming responsibilities beyond your current job is indeed a good way to get promoted. Whether there is a "grudge" by promoting someone may be different from company to company - but in my experience any promotion has to be justified by the person recommending the promotion (usually the manager) and it usually also reflects positive on them so there are some good incentives at play. Personally, I was always ecstatic when I was able to promote someone internally in my years at Finance but I appreciate that the culture can be different everywhere.

    This video was what I needed, solid reminders. I feel so frustrated at my own passivity; the frustration curdles and simmers within me like a whistling tea pot ready to blow the lid. I know the direction I ought to go, I know it’s my purpose - I know I found these things I want and that fulfil me, that come from within me - why, why don’t I do it??? Just, just why? Why am I so afraid to be alone with myself and look into the mirror, to be in that solitude, and hone in on my dream? Why am I so frightened to finally stand on my own two feet? What is this stupid Inner resistance?? I think doing, being, is the cure to passivity. I had this silly belief for the longest time that I was incapable of anything worthwhile. I’m no believer. I know I’m unstoppable. So for the sake of my body that’s in denial, let’s put this belief on the knife edge. Throw myself into the deep end and swim and don’t ever, ever stop. Thank you so much for making this video. Music, visuals, everything was awesome. You seem very sincere, and your advice is genuinely helpful. I hope you live well, kind stranger 😊 thank you for helping a fellow human being. Now I’m going to run and never look back.

    Too Good 💎 Bro what's some best books to read for Never giving up attitude in testing times like job search & career challenges also how to thrive in uncertainty & chaos without falling under stress which overwhelms us..

      There is such a vast variety of leadership books - but I’ll go with a bit of a different answer. For testing times and the thriving in uncertainty, try “who moved my cheese”. It’s a leadership fable and I find it inspiring. The other recommendation I can make is for a book called “winning”. It’s written by Jack Welsh the former CEO of General Electric. There are loads of stories in it but most notably about his assistant who became a successful entrepreneur in herself. Highly recommend!

    I find AI very interesting , so I thought to go into this career. But then I heard organizations expects Master's degree from candidates. I am already working my ass off to pay undergraduate tuton fees , I have no intention to do graduate studies. I realise Perhaps it will be very hard for me to get my first AI job with only bachelors degree and an AI certificatation against competotors with Masters degree. I think I better rethink and choose another career path

    • @KaiDLeifert
      @KaiDLeifert 6 місяців тому

      I would encourage you to follow your passion. There are cycles in any industry - think about Finance for example. A degree or even a MBA was fully expected, yet in today's time it is rarely a requirement. It may be easier to land your dream AI job with a degree but not impossible without it. Smart work and determination - as well as - persistence play an equally important role! Maybe that "dream" job is not obtainable just yet but keep walking into the direction your heart points to. Nothing that is worth fighting for ever comes easy - but its well worth it!

    1 AI and Automation 2 The rise of one person enterprise 3 The importance of Work & Client Communities 4 Shared ownership through block chain I think showing these at the end of video will help to get key takeaways from this video Could explain 6:00 this point

      Dear @Venky8293 - thanks so much for your suggestion! Something I would love to incorporate going forward! To answer your question with regard to my point at the 6:00 minute mark: I observed that the dynamic between clients and a company has changed quite a bit over the past few years. A lot more emphasis is put on creating a community of followers rather than just making the sale to a person. Companies started to understand that when they build a community the word of mouth is powerful and creates much more Sales than any marketing budget you may have.

    I think separating different video sections into parts, like "Part one: IA" or something, would add a lot of stucture to the video and would make it easier to follow. But really good video, i've learned a lot!

    In a Government agency, it's not what you know but what you don't know that gets you promoted. Also you have to be related or part of the company's country club in order to be promoted. Nepotism. 🤷

    • @KaiDLeifert
      @KaiDLeifert 8 місяців тому

      I have no doubt that there are less than ideal environments that do not promote the right values. And I have also no doubt that escaping them is no easy feat! There are certainly situations where we have to to ask ourselves the "Love it, Change it, Or Leave it" questions. However, we are also prone to coming to conclusions that fit our own perception without thoroughly looking at our own actions and this is what I am promoting here. Let's see what I, myself, can change. And when that fails it can be a starting point for a new strategy.
