I loved this show till I watch the last episode... Worst finale episode of any serial I ever watch or I will watch in the future... they left us like they don't have the money to continue to season 3... What happened to Eli? Did he died? Did he fix his cryogenic chamber and continue?... What happened to the other crew? Did they make it to the other galaxy?... We'll never learn... unless someone manages to wake the screenwriter from his... cryogenic sleep -__-

RADIO WAVES ISNT THAT HARD TO USE FOR COMMUNICATION! you don't have to have high tech for radio waves. so its pretty simple and also youre over looking the fact that they also created space craft that can travel to distant planets and keep generations of people on board for an extended period of time. even with our technology we cant match that. they are atleast 100 years ahead of us. and it honestly doesn't matter if they still use nukes or not nukes are POWERFUL WEAPONS sure not as powerful as plasma guns, or plasma beams or drone weapons but they are still powerful any intelligent race would use whatever is at their disposal. and the ones that they found on that planet sgu team found. they were cut off they had to use makeshift technology because they did not have access to their home and were not supplied

Radio waves can only travel at the speed of light, and those things were pretty big for high tech future radios. “cant say anything about their weapons” the episode tells us they still use nukes

and they also created spacecraft that was capable of sustaining multiple generations of people and feeding them all. sure they lacked ftl and a hyperdrive but they had to leave pretty fast if they had more time they probably would have figured it out.

radio waves aren't that hard to use, so logically they really wouldn't create anything that would be more advanced when youre talking radio waves. you need to look at things like computer tech, and especially weapons. their computers are atleast 100 years ahead of us. they have databases that dwarfs our supercomputers memory. cant say anything about their weapons

They succeed in their mission while forces on Earth take out first-strike ships deployed there

Also in the story Maybourne returns to reveal that the IOA has allied with the Lucian Alliance and is giving them the Wormhole Drive technology and Destiny in exchange for Earth being left alone. O'Neill, Wray and Young lead a coup against the IOA and attack the Alliance base on Earth learning where the Drive base is located. They then launch a massive attack on the base with a fleet of human and Jaffa ships to destroy the base, its protecting fleet and steal the data and destroy it.

A good fic I've been reading had them wake up to discover that Eli survived by storing himself and a Novun named Kalin who gated to Destiny in the Stargate buffer when he couldn't fix the pod in time. That story was great: in the new galaxy they encountered an advanced human civilization called the Nati seeded by one of the Seed Ships to protect the galaxy for a certain purpose. Unfortunately they grew quite arrogant and started an empire. When they learned the crew weren't Ancients they

he was a worthless fat fuck who was there(in terms of the writers) just to antagonize rush. i dislike characters who magically get things, like house(of the tv show house). the actor didnt help either. in every episode i kept hoping that he died/left, so in a sense that final episode was a relief. i'll never have to see that character again :)

No, they needed another 4-5 seasons to fully exploit the potential of this show. In fact, it's such an open theme, I'm not sure there'd ever be an end to the possible ideas available. Like Dr Who, the entire universe / dimensions / time are possible. The only problem is simple. The majority of people, i.e. the lowest common denominator, dislikes intellectual shows that require thought. Also, shows that you have to follow from the start in order are harder to push for networks.

Yeah... it's painful to know there's a chance the show will never come back to life. It's too painful to bear. :(

What was so wrong with the first season? I liked it. It focused a lot on the characters and, more importantly, their struggle to survive on a ship that had not been inhabited on for millions of years. It really tried to be intelligent, logical, follow through with its own plot and flow. Every episode mattered, every episode had a point and they all tied together. It's just fantastic.

True, we're talking about radiation from an ultra powerful blue giant star... yet, it still could have helped. Instead of permanent blindness, it may have been temporary.

i cant tell you why they freeze them, cause that would spoil the episode for you. it's worth watching, but it was cancelled, so it all comes down to a dead end. dont know i you have watched the other stargate shows and movies, but it's more enjoyable watching them in order. they are all good(in my humble opinion at least). i extremely disliked the eli character, but the show overall was good.

He was probably minutes or an hour away from death. I guess it resets him back to where he was in time and space, so to him it was still freezing and he died on Destiny. It's very strange that the Aliens would wait until everyone is dead, but on the other hand, why bother to send them back at all? I have a feeling there's more to this plot than they let on, it probably would have come back up sometime in the future. Of course it was just cancelled after two seasons so they never got the chance.
