SIDRA FHR Great Pumpkin Classic 2019 - Yamaha YZ250X
Переглядів 3634 роки тому
Some of the GoPro footage from when I raced the 2019 SIDRA FHR Great Pumpkin Classic out at Rabbit Creek, Idaho. Ended up 2nd in my class (250 B) by only a couple seconds which I was happy with considering I rode pretty much all of loop tow with a completely flat rear tire. On my 2019 Yamaha YZ250X.

Some footage from a trip I did during the week of Thanksgiving 2019. Woods single tack is probably my favorite type of riding. The YZ250X does really well in this stuff, especially in 2nd gear.

2019 Sand City 100 Part 3 (Two Stroke Battle!!!)
Переглядів 1355 років тому
Last salvageable quick cut of footage from my GoPro during the 2019 SIDRA/Desert Rats Sand City 100. My camera was too covered with sand and had too many small cracks and scratches from roost for the footage to be useable after this. Ended up 67th overall which is a personal best given a total amount of riders usually somewhere a little under 200. Great battle between myself on my 2002 Honda CR...

Nice video but can't really hear you at all. Can you tell me what handguards and mirrors you have? Thanks!
The little details on fit/finish are actually very important and can speak to the overall quality of a firearm. I think the best thing about Remington 870s is the fact that the receiver is milled from a solid piece of steel. Overall, they are great shotguns but the older ones are considerably nicer than the newer models. I actually really like the H&R Pardner Pumps (870 clones) - they are made almost entirely of solid pieces of steel that are milled even down to the smallest parts. They were made in China and they come with a pretty cheap mag tube follower but other than that they are an incredible value. They stopped making them a few years ago but you can get essentially the same thing from Blueline.
Max volume and I still can’t hear what you are saying. Nice bike.
Thanks for sharing. Great content! Bought two. A beater and a nice lower hour 2000 model. Unreal low end traction and usable power throughout the rpm range. The beater is a white tank 99 with a wiseco piston, faster than the 2000 model. And faster than my buddies 2023 crf250f!
Fuck yea man. Just got a wr450F (06). Happy to be in your spot, just subbed. No looking back. #sumo4Life
Could you possibly share a wiring diagram for the Tusk kit or tell me where to find one.
what ktm mid pipe gasket did you use? just a 250 one?
Husqvarna or KTM TE250/250 XC-W 2017-1018.
Great video! What gearing do you prefer? Where do you run your suspension clickers?
Which bike do you prefer?
Between a DRZ400K and a YZ426F? That's a tough one. It really depends on the environment/riding conditions. YZ426F for desert/moto, DRZ for trails and of course dual sport use.
@@premixpeter1972 Thanks for the response.
I have a guy that wants to trade same bike same color for my sportster thinking about making the swap never had a drz before cool video 459 miles is insane idk how anybody could only do that many miles in that amount of time lol
What needle clip position do you run?
Love mine. Have a collection of M1’s and they all share the same magazines. Super accurate. Glock gen 5’s are barely catching up to the awesome features in the PPQ.
I have a pawn shop 1956 wingmaster I got for 100 bucks and parkerized silver. This is why I don't buy new most times
I have one of these awsome solid bike love that it got the titanium valves and great when learning to wheelie cause of how solid she is now my 450r honda is a different animal just barely tap and she moonwalking lol
What about the seat?!
I just bought a 2023 yz250x and I never got jets or a needle or the power valve tool I only got a spoke wrench hopefully they will get me my jets and tool I should of got
They definitely should. Unrelated but be warned, while the much improved brakes and ergos are nice, the resigned X has a very small tank. IMS just started making a 3.2 if you're interested.
@@premixpeter1972 your absolutely rite it’s small I’ll look into that tank I have already noticed how fast i go thru a full tank thanks
It's OK,....I have never been able to afford them. I buy Rugers, Mossbergs,... because they are affordable. YOU CAN BUY MARLINS NOW THEIR MADE BY RUGER.
They had those issues before freedom group. I have a 1187 police and it had a wobbly trigger guard, I put a side saddle on and the pins it came with took out all the play.
I can second the Marlin sentiments. Got a 336 when I was 20-21ish y/o and the gun was a complete crap shoot and I couldn't get it to group under 6" (even after fixing the totally messed up iron sights which were jacked from the factory). If you're looking for your first (or 80th) lever gun avoid new Marlins unless you want a crap gun.
Be nice if that skid plate cover the waterpump
Agreed.
@@premixpeter1972 where did you find that small inline filter at? All I could find is the big oval shaped ones that's too big

Were did you order the covers and is it the same fit for a 2019 250 or 125x ?
Not the same fit for a 125, and you can order them off of several sites including eBay and RMATVMC.
@@premixpeter1972 when I put i 2019 yz250x it says dose not fit
I'm thinking of buying this bike. It'd be my first at 40 yrs old. Though performance mods would appeal to some, your pragmatic suggestions are appreciated by others. Thanks!
Very glad to have been helpful!
You should know then that the stock jetting is fine. I’ve been a mechanic for almost 30 years and have built a couple old Cb759s. I have a 22 DRZ and if anything it runs a touch rich. At 6300-7000 feet of elevation.
mossberg still makes great shotguns. that trigger side to side play made me nervous just watching.
Mine was 759 out the door.
Nice bike and vid! What gopro model is that?
This was on my old hero 3
Thanks. I feel like the older ones picked up the exhaust notes better. You can barely hear the bike on the newer gopros
@@frankiemarchese2978 Agreed!
Where did the pipe guard come from
Hyde Racing's website
16 year DRZ owner here. Never thought I’d still have it that long when I bought in 2006. Somewhere on my channel is a cool trick… “how to go swimming with my DRZ!” The DRZ lived to ride another day. I’ve got somewhere over 16k miles on mine.
Awesome to see that old of a DRZ that still looks stock and unmolested. Looks like a 2000 or 2001. Mod 6… jettison the “wheelie bar” rear fender and taillight and upgrade to a sleek, small license plate bracket and the DRC Edge tail light. Mod 7… extended shift lever so you can get your riding boot under the shifter with IMS wide pegs you are running. Mod 8… remove the grab handle on your seat. Mod 9… IMS 3.2 gallon tank.
What shifter did you find that is longer? I want a longer shifter but all I find are out of stock.
This is why I only buy older , gently used guns. I have a 1993 remy 700 , and an 11-87 from the 1990"s. I love both of them.
I've sense learned. Just picked up a 1970's 870 wingster in 12 gauge. Phenomenal shotgun.
The last three 870 shotguns had problems with ejection of empty shells so now I buy Benelli and Mossberg that is still a family owned company I like the Ithaca pumps but you have to buy from the company and have it delivered to a ffl dealer 1,200 shotgun.
noice
Where did you get the graphics? Can't seem to find decent OEM ones anywhere
They came on the bike (didn't have to replace them).
Hey nice 👌 that was my first sports bike back in 89' lol I was ' mini maverick' 😂😎👍👍
what kind of exhaust system is that
Glad you left the stock pipe
On a scale from 1-10, how easy is it to ride for advanced riders?
It's not that bad, but I'd definitely say it's one of the harder bikes to ride in it's class (performance off-road). The only bike I can think of that's harder to ride that I've owned was the Yamaha YZ426F. So maybe a 5/10?
# 1 get rid of stock tires....#2 case covers #3 jd jet kit and air box mod oooo Yeaaa..#4 get rid of heavy ass gas tank.#5 .14 tooth sprocket...... And send it
Buy older parts
I have the 400r and it sounds exactly the same wouldn't call it a beginner bike because it is a very quick bike in the wrong hands could be deadly good second bike for sure!
did you have problems with spare parts? like brakes, suspensions or part of engines that needed to be replace?
The trigger in the Ppq m2 and the new pdp compact are much improved than ppq m1, i wish they kept the paddle type magazine release.
What part of Ridaho are ya in?
I'm in the Boise area.
where did you get your lower fork lug protectors? I'm struggling to find a set. already have decent size chunk taken out
RMATVMC
It may work and be cost effective, but to me, all that black plastic is not appealing to the eye.
To each their own, personally I like it (but mainly just like how it doesn't show dirt and scratches as much) but I can also see how it would look better to have the classic blue and white.
Ambi and shootable, tigger by far the best in the factory side of things...
The reason I went with the carbon fiber pipe gaurd is because it offers good protection, and while it will brake and can dent my pipe, it will not bend or break exhaust flange on motor, so you want a little give. Pipes are cheap compared to the engine
One of the best mods I've done to my 2018 yz250 is a 13oz stealy flywheel weight. And motion pro coolant recovery bottle. And fasst co. Anti vibration inserts.
I have the fmf gnarly exhaust in a Athena 300 cylinder on my yz250 2015, it’s power everywhere low as high rpm,
Sick bike! I have an 01, scary fast. Never had a bike give me arm pump as fast as this fast and heavy beast. I also have extra lights on mine so that don’t help.
