When the dessert doesn't look great it probably was homemade by someone's grandma, this is a very authentic experience of a regular cheap restaurant locals frequent often.

There's nothing like a good old Portuguese 'Churrasqueira.' Unfortunately, they’re becoming more expensive each year. 'Frango de churrasco' used to be one of the most affordable Portuguese meals to order and take home. Nowadays, that's no longer the case. Glad you enjoyed!

Not very promising from the outside and the menu looked suspiciously cheap, but I'm glad you had a lovely experience. The fact that your partner finished her food is the supreme test of any kitchen. 🙏

Is it true this pub used to be called Mulrennans bar? I ask because me Nan is from Bunclody, but she now has advanced dimentia, and often asks us if we're going there after our visit to her. Bit hard since she emigrated to England in the 1940s and hasn't been back since '06 😅 I haven't been since '04 myself but I hope to get back one day (My Dad was from Limerick so I'm planning a road trip)

Sorry to say, the chicken there is not the best one. There's one restaurant on the road to the airport, after Aldi, called Frangaria. The serve small birds, which are the tastier ones.

Prague is a city, not a country. The country is Czechia. Not Bratslava it is Bratislava.

The Celtic ethnicity was the first historical people to inhabit this area. On the territory of today's castle and the old town in Bratislava, they had a fortified settlement - an oppidum from the end of the 2nd century BC. A preserved Celtic building with amphora storage was found under the castle stables. In 2009, a treasure of Celtic gold and silver coins of Biatek and Nonnos was found directly on its pavement. Several mints worked on the territory of today's Bratislava. Gold staters were minted on the acropolis, where gold smelting furnaces were found. Silver coins were again produced in the sub-castle. In the Pálffy Palace, there is a permanent exhibition of the Celtic mint. There was a Celtic mint here that used Latin script on minted coins, which has been confirmed by archeological research. There were 16 types of inscriptions on Bratislava Celtic coins (e.g. AINORIX, BVSSVMARVS, COBROVOMARVS, COVIOMARVS, IANTVMARVS, BIATEC, NONNOS, COISA, COVNOS, DEVIL, MACCIVS, TITTO EVOIVRIX, FARIARIX, ).
