thank you for showing off kibbitznest!

No, you 🥹
A portuguese native speaker watching a native english speaker speaking french. What a crazy world lol
It is not cool. This is a made-up language that came from radicals in the 70s. Our grandparents didn't speak like this. You would actually be punished in some homes for speaking like this.
That's life in Paris. 3 hours go and back is low for Parisians. The average is more like 4-5 hours. With a very temperate climate, often even cold, Lille is the best alternative for high profiles. 1 hour from Paris in speed train, 1 hour from Brussels, very affordable housing outside Lille, 20-30 minutes away in public transportation. The cheapest food choice in France with the densest hypermarket per square kilometer, a lot of local markets (40-60% cheaper food than big chains), etc ... You have the benefits of people living 5-20 km from Paris with high speed trains costing 10-25€ per trip, and still subsidised by the employer up to 60%. And to answer your teasing at the end of the video, bisous too, or more if you wish ! 😊😊
Full time jobs are 35 to 39 hours depending on the job sector. On general market, it's 35 hours. When your job do require 39-40 hours a week regularly, you are paid accordingly. The minimum wage is around 1760€ ($1900) for 152.2 hours a month, that makes the hourly pay 11.65€. If you work 39-40 hours on a branch/sector regulation, the employer have to pay you that 11.65€ hourly (169 hours for 39 hours a month and 172 hours base for 40 hours/week shift). There is a minimum wage for all sectors an employer have to pay you, but some branches, some sectors have higher minimum wage, so it's always useful to check. You have typically 3 workers profiles over here : base employee with 35-39 hours a week, technician/team leader (ETAM) and cadres (package salaries of 200-212 hours a month, calculated annually. Depending on your grade, low/middle/high/top management, you get annualized for effective 9.5 to 10.5 month a year). You can't be asked to do more than 250 per month every hour done above 200-212 give you additional paid days off (unlike vacations, you can't really use them whenever you want and you have a time limit to use them, generally 3 month. If you are denied in this period, demand, not ask, for a written refusal. email or official mail.) Union representatives are mostly su**ers here and you don't have to be in an union if you have a disagreement with your employer. You can go for advice or trial with a specific work tribunal called the Prud'Hommes, a parity organization that judges workers/employers disagreement, with the impartial judge, you have 2-4 assistants from the workforce and 2-4 assistants who are entrepreneurs. Base employees and ETAM get 2.5 days of paid vacation per month, so 20 business days a year, 4 weeks on the first year. On the second year, you are entitled a 5th week, no matter what. Cadres usually (middle and above only) get 6 weeks and more, up to 8 weeks. Anything above is always compensated with exceptional bonus. Except for finance, banks and education, no one get more than 6.5 weeks. Unless you're a successful entrepreneur. Substitute and part-time teachers usually needs to register to unemployment organization regularly after they use up their vacation rights. Entitled teachers get almost as many paid vacation as students. A good looking foreigner teacher (man and woman) is usually the crush of middle/high schooler. So I'm amazed you haven't been hinted from your students. 😊😁 Another thing worth look into. France have fucked up education, recruiting useless bureaucrats on every level, making France bureaucracy worse every passing day. Less teachers, less cops, less soldiers, less medical personnel, etc. Now they recruiting experienced individuals to be specific teachers in specific fields, from language to engineering field. Pedagogy skills are provided before starting. That's something worth checking for potential expats. There are obviously tests. But French from private sectors have very low interest as it does impact their retirement plans. What you have to keep in ming, transportation is written down in the laws. Employers have to subsidies 40% at least, your public transportation fees, electric bikes/scooters/bikes. Note that car users get no benefits unless their specific work do require a vehicle. Most middle size company and bigger offer lunch compensation (ticket restaurant on bank cards or physical ticket) from 3.80€ up to 50€ per business day (5 days a week). Employer's copay being 40% up to 100% and limited to18-20€ (not sure), so high lunch compensation isn't always a good thing as you WILL be taxed accordingly too. Working habits in France include stupid useless meetings once or twice a week. It doesn't matter if you have any opinion, but it is very important you voice whatever is in your mind. You will have better chances to climb up the scales, aside from stomping down your colleagues. In case you do get an interview, know that French recruiters will ask you to repeat what you wrote down in your resume, and you will have to show you have done a bit of research on your position and the company you're joining. Including the way you dress. Throw away any prejudice about French are elegant or whatever. You dress according to the position you apply for, with some understanding of dress code if there is any.
Nice video
Tu as dit une bêtise sur les congés. Quand tu les as, tu es payées
This is such a great video! Thank you so so much! Your channel is so underrated honestly
*He ain't comin round ere nomor/nomo* not He's not coming around here no more.
Hello! Thank you for this information! I’m interested in doing TAPIF, but curious to know if you can without any degree.
It was very different for me in India. I had to go through three stages of selection process for the exchange programme. I will be going this fall. Your videos really help, thanks!
Are grades important (whether 11 or 16) for master's degree selection, for example? (I apologize if the question seems silly, I'm in high school and don't know the system).
I’m not an expert on this, you might want to ask someone more qualified, but grades did seem far more important to get into undergrad/exchange. As I understood it, experience and project proposals are more the focus for masters (but you still need decent grades)
bonjour
It's dangerous to look at your mouth when ajar.
The international reputation of orthodontist's is to fix people's teeth. Good luck little lady.
Nobody who lives in the city of Chicago calls it “Chiraq.”
Don’t go south of 55 and west of 90 you’ll be just fine
I HAVE LIVED HERE MY WHOLE LIFE AND I CAN ATTEST TO THE LAWLESSNESS WE ARE EXPERIENCE NOW DUM DUM
I spent 11 days there during my last trip to USA but I stayed in Lincoln Park which is in the north and I also spent a lot of time in Downtown and never really felt unsafe there! I honestly loved it and I am now looking back at it as a great and wonderful time! However, when I got there I remember asking the Uber driver what places to avoid since Ive heard a lot about it and he said specifically the west and south side!
Makes sense to me cause I get them winter blues it sucks lol
She looks like every girl from Chicago ever
I live in Sweden and have only get shot once. So the bad reputation is overrated. 🇸🇪
I’ve been there, it’s beautiful city, I just avoid the black areas simple.
Shut up your white privilege😂
what is the video she is saying to look at? no link
Hey! I’d love to reach out to talk to you what’s your insta ?
you remind me of yuna from itzy!! ❤
They never saw her again after that video😂
Is that an invite !?
I’m from Houston and I feel like a lot of these recommendations are the same and a lot more crime and violence happens in certain parts of the city vs in its entirety
The most valubale advice i got from S. Crashen. Just make a constant imput of target language your habbit. Very helps me to make my ordeal very comfortable!)
As someone who was born and lives here, I guarantee you it's dangerous, and I'm only a 19 yr old student who lives in the more peaceful area of Chicago.
Is midwest rogers park safe?
@@mavis2727Somewhat A lot of gays live there
What part
$700 for rent? that must be only your half.. I pay that much but i live in the South side where apartments are cheaper.
Chi raq is said by tourists not us true legit chicagoans
Should I be the very guy who says that you occasionally wrote русскЙи instead of русскиЙ Thanks for the video, it's a real pleasure to watch it!
Thanks for being that guy ! I’ll go ahead and fix it
I went to Chicago in August 2022. I was only there for 4 days and the 2nd day I was there some dipstick shot at me when I was driving past (Granted in a bad area, but still). I would think twice about visiting Chicago today. Not worth it. Run by a bunch of clueless arsehats.
What side? West or south? Everyone from Chicago knows you’re in Lincoln Park like every college graduate from somewhere else! Stop acting like you take the red or green line! I’ve had several drive bys where I could hear the bullets zipping past my head. That was walking out of Malcom X college after my EMT and Paramedics class. Then getting gas on the south side just to name two. Want more! That’s why I conceal carry. South side shit not your bullshit north side life. Stop pretending
How do you apply for PL or CAL for reimbursement?
I’m not quite sure what you’re referring to. If you mean CAF and APL then you should find step by step instructions online
I am doing research for a writing that involves AAVE and came across the video you mentioned. It was kind of weird that seemingly nobody was pointing out the things you mentioned in the comments... thank you for your great video!
thank you for putting this out hope it gets more hits! more people need to know about this dialect.
thank you for this video, I plan on doing the TAPIF
Hi, I'm Pablo and be on the same boat.
Just go to London!!! 😅 Paris is beautiful but it is a very difficult place to be..
nEVER !
thank you for your video 😊 do you review what you learned or only immersion please?
I always review if I can, but immersion certainly is the best way to learn
Is hyde park chicago safe in 2024??
As someone with ADHD, setting up these complicated systems for new challenges is something I LOVE to do, so for all the comments calling this complicated, I totally see why you did this. The challenge for me personally is sticking with it after I’ve set it all up 😅 Wishing you success in your language learning journey!
Absolutely the same for me. My feeling is that if I spend time putting in the planning then I owe it to myself to put in the time to do the thing. I know it helps me too !
very cool video extermenly complicated setup you got up good idea organized great vid face cam shot switching to pc recording good explaining now id like to know im learning french rn what are your reasons for french german russian what are your likes with em and rn im assuming you only know english right keep making vids
