      Its a Veritas jig . you can get any size dies up to one inch . I purchased it about 25 years ago so i dont know if its still available or has changed at all but it works great once it is set up and dialed in .

      If you found these on scamazon they were a fake copy , all of the traps in this design were hand made by me and only sold through me or my nephew . I still sell them in 3 hole design.

    Another version of this without a welder that I came up with is to taper the rebar enough to hammer a nut down the rebar so that a 1/4” of the rebar is sticking out of the nut. Then penne/smash the rebar that is exposed so that it mushrooms out and locks the nut on. I usually finish the final strikes off with a waffle head hammer for texture/grip when I’m in the field. Then 3 links of chain that are just large enough to clear the rebar makes it a swiveling stake too! I use these for my wall tents also. The chain makes a good spot for the rope to pass through to cinch down the sides of the tent.

      I am still alive , the camera I used to make videos died and i have not replace it yet. Some day when I get a new camera i will make a video on how to make the Square pot. They are a bit time consuming and finicky to make but the sound is incredible . I always carry a square pot when hunting along with one of my Hen Bitcher X boxes . thanks for asking . Good luck out there.

    • @cttrapperman5555

      Mario the base is 36 wide by 28 in depth . The piece the beam sits on is 31 inches on the top side ,which could change to fit YOUR height. Make the measurements to fit YOU to be a comfortable working height.

    I used a rasp and it was fairly efficient. While I was grinding away, a friend warned me about scraping my knuckles, then told me how he got nailed by a cheese grater. Then in popped in my head 💡. Tried the cheese grater and it works about 3 times quicker than the rasp. It doesn't quite get them as small as the fine powder you get with a rasp,, but it does grind the chaga into very small pieces, which can be put through a grinder of you want it powdered

    • @cttrapperman5555
      @cttrapperman5555 Рік тому

      Hey Scott , i also have moved on to a cheese grater a few year back . It is much faster and if you get a grater that has all the different grade courses you can get any size grinds you want.
