Unlike a heating pad where you will feel a lot of heat and warmth, the infrared LEDs work under the skin's surface. However, LED's will still generate heat. The length of the treatment time will increase the joules that will generate heat. Most customers report an enjoyable, low-level of heat from our LED devices.

You should hold the light directly against your skin or as close as possible and comfortable for you.

The Flex Pad has a 20-minute treatment time and will automatically shut-off at the end of 20 minutes. The filter does needs to be replaced on occasion. Timing of replacement depends on the situation (quality of the air, number of hours operating, size of space, etc). To insert the batteries, remove the back cover on the device. To remove the cover, apply slight pressure and pull downward, much like removing the cover to the batteries on your TV remote! Insert three AA batteries and replace the cover.

Some scientific studies have shown that blue light can be beneficial for skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema though our devices are not FDA cleared for those conditions. Ultimately, we recommend you discuss light therapy options with your physician or dermatologist concerning your specific issues.

There will not be any issues if you are trying to use the Oral Care with metal braces or crowns - It will not cause any harm. However, please be advised that if you are using the Oral Care for teeth whitening - it will not whitening the teeth underneath the braces (this is not recommended as it could leave "spots" behind metal braces after removal).

The dpl IIa has 3 settings: anti-aging (which should appear all red), acne (which should appear all blue), and combo mode (which should appear purple). If you don't see a difference in your settings, please contact Customer Service at 1 (800) 337-9565.

Hi Kim, We have a few versions of the Sonique, with different on/off functionality. But regardless of which version, you have to fully charge the device before operating. Once charged, the Lux Collection Sonique (with the round head) has two buttons on the front of the handle: one to turn on and cycle through the light settings, the other to turn on and cycle through the vibration settings with multiple clicks of each button. You can combine the settings any way you want. Click and hold either button to turn the device off. The single-function Anti-Aging or Acne Soniques (with the triangle heads) have two slight depressions on the top/back of the handle. One turns on the lights, the other controls the vibration. Gently touch either depression with your fingertip to turn that function on. Touch the depression/button again to turn it off. Tip: with the depression-style buttons, make sure your fingertip is free of lotion, oil, makeup, etc., as these can interfere with the button operation.

Oral health treatments last 10 minutes. If using it to help your whitening strips or gels, leave it in for 20 minutes.

@@reViveLight can you prove to us that your device actually has infrared leds? I heard its just red and blue that is in your device.

@@sfiv1987 You can't verify infrared light visually, as it is invisible to the human eye. And in our Oral Care device, the infrared LEDS are combined with the red LEDs -- so what looks like only red LEDs (the 12 outer LEDs) are actual infrared/red combos, to go along with the 6 non-UV blue LEDS along the center line of the mouth piece, between the red/infrareds.
