i used to always do this!! sadly ever since 2020 I’ve never seen one with any coins in the reject tray. only in the coin dumper or on the floor nearby. store employees also gave me eisenhower dollars because they wouldn’t fit in some machines. but i will never stop checking coinstars for as long as i live. also if you reach behind the rejection tray theres a little lip that coins can get stuck on. i’m from seattle!

I dont believe the half cent was found in a coinstar because it looks nothing like a modern or foreign modern coin.

Im left speechless. Who would do that?? Thats insane the 64 quarter nickel dime and penny are all proofs. The half cent is the most expensive in the mix my opinion. Definitely ranked #2 of the best coin star hauls ive ever seen

All I ever found in a machine was a porta bathroom token.

I used to 'rig' the machine until I finally recently got caught red-handed..but I pulled a TON of coins. It was crazy profitable lol

Its sad, those coins you "found in the coinstar" you probably bought that nice 1909 cent online so you could claim that you "found it" Otherwise these are obviously coin collections stolen by punkass kids

On 6/28/2024 I found a 1947 silver quarter & $1.27 various change

That 1909 VDB is a very high grade coin - should be put in a 2x2 and not handled, as it is possibly a $200-$250 coin

That 58 wheat and 64 nickel are both proofs. Last year I scored a $2.5 gold eagle out of my local coin star. I about shit myself.

My best find to date in a Coinstar machine was a 1951 Franklin half dollar. After that would be a few Mercury dimes and silver quarters.

This may seem like a stupid question but can you get into trouble for taking coins from there? I do it but I always feel weird about it. I hang around the lottery machine for a bit to make it seem like I have legitimate business being there lol.

I once scored a huge handful of foreign coins and mixed in was 13 presidential dollar coins!

These videos always inspire me to go search some Coinstars of my own! Tomorrow I might go do groceries at a few different supermarkets to come by as much machines as possible. That 5 Euro cent is from Greece in case you hadnt figured that out. 😃

For some reason there's a couple of Coinstar episodes that I missed, I'm glad I found them now! I can't resist it when there's coins stuck in the machine. I always try to get the coins out with my keys or other random stuff from my pockets and hope I don't appear too weird to the people walking by 😂

Wow your buddy got some great finds! Here in Germany I generally find only a few 1 or 2 Euro cent coins at a time. Certainly no silver and my oldest so far is 1949, but sometimes foreigns from eastern Europe or Africa and the most common foreign: cents from the USA.

I find silver in coinstars all the time. People just dont know, or they dont care. More for us
