Just remember, the Word says “need”. That doesn’t mean you’ll get financially rich. One person may come into more money, another may develop meaningful connections, another may learn skill to endure or face harder trails and tribulations. We get what we need that aligns with Gods will and the journey he has planned for us.

Someone doesn't learn their econ 101. You're thinking of feudalism or socialism. Capitalism requires no poor people, and actually lifts them up more than any other human system. The only superior system is God's system which will come when Jesus returns.

Amen ! As we grow in grace and faith, we learn first tomorrow about a true relationship with God and then we learn about ourselves and how best we can serve God. First off, I absolutely love the special guest series! This was such a great conversation. I also want to take a moment to give you both your flowers for embodying what God intended church to be, living it outside the four walls in your everyday life and within your community outreach. That is truly beautiful and inspiring. I connected with the part of the conversation about love. I wholeheartedly agree with you guys sentiments. It reminded me of something bell hooks wrote in “All About Love”. She states, “to truly love, we must learn to mix various ingredients: care, affection, recognition, respect, commitment, trust, as well as honest and open communication.” She highlights that love is to nurture our and another person’s spiritual growth. I appreciated your point about being responsible with our love and using wisdom in how we invest deeply in people. That lesson has been hitting home for me in 2024 and hearing it articulated the way you did really resonated. Another key takeaway was the reminder that ministry isn’t confined to the pulpit, it’s about how we show up in our communities and the connections we build with those we congregate with. 📝 I pray this message continues to reach and touch the hearts of those who need it most because this truly was a word.
