Drone Tour of Incat Shipyard
Did you know that Incat is Australia’s largest commercial shipyard? With five expansive construction halls, over 70,000 square metres of undercover production area, two dry-dock areas, and 300 metres of dedicated wharf space, our facilities are designed to deliver multiple world-class vessels simultaneously.
The shipbuilding process begins in the plate shop, where high-strength marine-grade aluminium is expertly cut to initiate construction. From there, components are prefabricated in the Inches production hall before moving to Wilsons and Coverdales, our main production halls, where the vessels are assembled, fitted out, and prepared for launch.
Each of our production halls is named after Tasmanian shipbuilders of the past, paying tribute to the pioneers who came before us.

Cool.
How much in km/hour?
That is cool, but make a ocean liner that goes the same speed
Hey yo-yo, it would be nice to see a picture of the ship.
Fuel consumption per hour is how much liter or kg?
Last time I ride the worlds fastest speed boat with goes 81mph aprox 94 mph that’s faster than hsc Francisco is goes 58 knots or 67 mph
There were a fleet of high speed cats built and operated from the UK to ireland and Europe ,the were the largest ferrys at the time in the ninties
As a past Supplier on Hull 97 and Hull 99, I was impressed with the Professionalism of all InCat Staff.
57 knots is dizzyingly super fast!
Anything on Hull 97 coming up? 👀
Wonder who the 'Queen Bee' is, leading the way. ?
So if you surpass 60 knots you leave the water. So we.....flying or what? 😏
Would love to know what the speed/s are ?
Wow! That's faster than a sane person leaving San Francisco!
As it take in water from front and pump it to lift reduce drag then faster it goes it increase speed even equal boeing
Did one off these cross bass straight for a while late 80's
yes was called Devil Cat, 1997 2002
Yes, there were a few, one being known as “Devil,Cat” (Hull 046) which i travelled on in early 2001 from Melbourne to George Town. It had a few operators, and spent most of its life in Trinidad and Tobago. Sadly it is no more, as it was sold to a Spanish operator and was under tow to Spain when it was lost near the Azores in 2021.❤
🙂👍
Dread to think how much fuel it's drinking.
Was lucky enough to commission the Turbines and deliver the ship to Montevideo. Great experience.
2023
Fuel is expensive
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪✨✨✨
Hull 69.. (ง'̀-'́)ง
Fabulous story - thanks for sharing.
thats a gorgeous vessel
I traveled in that ship last week, it was fully loaded and was cruising at 42 knots, aprox 80km/h, due to the turbine engines the start up sounds like a plane and the acceration is amazing, goes from 5 knots to 40 in a while
Cost of the ticket?

I don't think that she/he is the fastest ship in the world.. like a speedboat can go this many knots
Your answer is in your statement. This is a ship, not a boat. A large cargo carrying seafaring vessel over 500 tons is a ship. Anything smaller is a boat.
@@JGunit maybe I cant just accept that she/he is the fastest cargo ship in the world
she may not be the fastest ship in the world, but she is the fastests PASSENGER ship in the world. She can carry up to 1000 passengers and 150 cars
واااااااو
My respect for Dr Oseghale Sunday Herbal Home who freed me from h s v 1 2 torment !!
Amazing. At that speed it could cross the English Channel as fast as Eurotunnel Le Shuttle.
I think the short-lived Louis Dreyfus Incat did it in 60 minutes in scheduled service Boulougne-Dover. A wonderful cat and I am glad I managed to sail on LD Lines when they were around...
Amazing machine. I can't help but wonder though, whether a more conventional propeller would be more efficient than water jets, given how much the jets seem to stir up the wake. I guess jets have practical advantages that are more important than those last few percentage points of efficiency.
