Really cool. Can u add tabs to see exactly the order of notes
Working on arpeggios on fiddle up and down the neck. Seems like I could keep working on them for years. Does help my playing. Thanks for these videos!
Looking forward to part 2
This is amazing!!!!
Thanks!
That's wonderful! Loved your fiddle playing and your singing! Happy New Year!
Whats the last tune?
Excellent video. I find the tenor relatively easy to pitch but struggle with rhe lower harmony. This was really helpful.
Extremely useful for me. Thanks a lot
Thank you Dan for this, and everything else you’ve done for our music. On a side note, most of your books are the type I would expect, but what up with the math books? Are you also a math nerd? lol
I'm a big math and physics nerd...I have my bachelor's degree in math and master's in electrical engineering.
Brilliant lesson,Brett, thank you so much - learned a lot from it!
Thanks Dan. Good video! Not sure if Lester did this, instead of fretting E on the D string, fret F on the D string.
His pick grip/hand style is COMPLETELY different from George
I recommend electronic tuners🥺
Like it
Thank the bluegrass magazine was a great prescription magazine with a lot of teaching info very educational
Wyatt reads music and understands theory thoroughly in case you wondered. And he is a super nice and as laid back as he seems here.
I had been playing guitar and listening and studying Tony for about 15 years, I was early 20s, I got to take weekly lessons from Wyatt. He showed me those elusive notes in all the Tony licks I was playing close but not right. He showed me how to hold the pick, attack the strings for best tone (hand off the bridge!) all the spacegrass progressions, leads, rhythm, crosspicking rhythm and leads, and everything I need to keep learning for the rest of my life.
What a pretty song, I gotta get your Tabs
Great lesson. Where can I find the Bluegrass Unlimited Lesson Page? Thanks
Great lesson, thanks a lot! I was working on this one when I stumbled across it 😊. A great help
Great, easy to understand!
Great stuff! Any dobro rhythm tricks over minor chords or is it the muted chop in that situation?
Fantastic!
way too fast
I’am a starter. That’s gonna help me. Thanks
great video thanx a lot, would be great if we could hear each line by itself..would really help
Thanks. You made this so clear to understand.
This break is almost the same one that Orrin and Gary Mehalick played on the track Deep River by Paul Williams. Good to see it on Video. I got Don't let your deal go Down from the Doc Watson songbook which was played in a D chord (open)
Great information, clarified several things got me - Thanks!
Thank you sir.
This is a great way to think about improvising in any key. Very helpful and insightful!
You are an incredible teacher! I’m from Nigeria and not used to this genre but, you make it inviting. I’m definitely taking this style up. Thanks for a warm introduction to the world of fiddling. Yeeehaaa!🤠🤸🏾🎻

Great arrangement. Great playing. Thanks 🪕
That is the first tune I ever learned on the Fiddle. I still play it. Or course you are playing about twice as many notes as what I usually play on that.
It is one of the first tunes that I teach new players. Not this note version! lol
Excellent and thought provoking lesson! Always look forward to your videos!
Thanks Laurie!
too much talking. show techniques. Don't need to sit through lecture on how to play with people.
❤
Nice and simply way to find the Key but I found the instruction's regarding notes in the Key confusing when you count @ 9:02 1D, 2E, 3F, 4G, 5A etc.as the F Cord is Sharped? F#. Am I missing something?
Great, guys. Really helpful. Thanks!
Hello! I am a singer/songwriter with a song that is just dying for this type of fiddle playing. I don't make any money from my music (yet at least...lol), but I have some stuff on iTunes and all the other places you can stream (Michele Maxwell-- the country songs I've released are "Hunk of a Man" and "Tricks" if you are interested in listening to anything that I already have released that has a similar feel). Would you be interested in recording fiddle part for the song? Who knows maybe it could make us famous lol. Of course you're already at about 8000 subscribers, and here I am just starting out. Doesn't hurt to ask though, right? ;)
Sounds great
