Why condition a reflexive response to terminal markers? Put simply, you can "trick" your dog into doing things they have zero control over and you can do it without any physical pressure or creating any conflict. Session 6: “That’s what you get for being greedy”. Should have ended on it on the third rep... then “no more one more time” did it’s thing. Went for the 4th rep, and higher criteria... and I lost him. Oh well, we made progress overall. Purposefully didn’t edit the end off as I’m posting whole sessions.

Quick session today. Why did I call it so quickly? Two reasons: 1- On the second repetition he (finally) made contact. Must be that Operant Canine T-Shirt. 2- High reward value. “Jackpot” if you will.

Did you just start at level 1 and expected that the dog feels it ??? Or you tried finding the level the dog feels it
The dog can show us they feel it at 1 a number of ways via classical conditioning. Looking for a reaction from the dog the way people traditionally “find level” often puts the collar much closer to an aversive stimulation than where they can initially feel it. Thanks for watching and your comment.

Just curious does pat condition with tapping the continuous stim before with the command also? Example: place tap dog does action tapping stops?
Hi Anthony, thanks for your comment. This demonstration at the seminar was not to condition the dog to the remote pressure, merely to show that the dog could in fact feel the collar on the absolute lowest setting via classical conditioning a new unknown stimulus (the remote collar) before the known verbal marker. The dog began to show reflexive anticipation of the known verbal marker around the 8th repetition when it felt the remote collar. Hope this makes sense.
