Honestly, the anime was straightforward for me. You only need to watch the first episode to understand most of the basics. Where some of the more complicated mechanics are explained later. Whereas other card anime like Yugioh are very bad at teaching new players or expect you to already know what's going on.

What I like about this card game is its unique and artistic card art style. There are also "clans," which are types of groups that the cards belong to. The main character's clan is called "Royal Paladin," which revolves mainly around knights. Kai, his rival, uses "Kagero," which mainly consists of dragons. There will be more clans introduced later in the series, and one of them is my favorite. I can't wait!

FINALLY, someone reacts to this show! Every season of Cardfight Vanguard is dubbed except for Season 4. I grew up on the dub, I love the dub, I only stopped watching on the dub because Onimaru’s dub voice was too gross and the dub voice was MUCH better. So I watched this show in sub from there on. The lyrics for the openings and endings also got dubbed, so I was actually able to sing along to them as a kid and try to memorize the songs. I think the first Opening and “Dream Shooter” might be the ones I tried memorizing the most? Yeah, Buddyfight and Vanguard are made from the same company, Bushiroad. Kai is a tsundere. Vanguard isn’t taught in school. Mr. Mark just uses Vanguard as his teaching method because it’s his passion. The music and theme songs in this show are BANGER after BANGER after BANGER! You gotta love it when characters have their own suites lmao So many characters in this show have their own music suites! Yeah, Aichi’s name is a pun. “Sendou” itself means “vanguard” (This was confirmed to me when I watched Katekyo Hitman Reborn, and part of the lyrics to one of the ending songs was this word)

Azur Lane also has a pretty good anime. You should definitely check it out. You might want to brush up on your WWII naval history. The characters are named after, and they act like, naval ships from that time. Hope you enjoy the series.
