Ive never played 1v1 since 2v2 came out. I'd wager that I've played roughly 20,000 2v2 matches and all i can say is defensive decks tend to be really effective.

2v2 arrows is the best card since the most played card is firecracker. Any deck without a very efficient firecracker counter is not viable as left alone she will just delete every single push

20:52 it can be a win condition just not the only one. Especially in 2v2 it’s amazing simply because it often leads to a much higher elexir spent on the oppsing side, plus it often allows a card like ram ride to placed without its weekness.

11:08 it’s kinda true but eg a sub 3 hog/ram cycle deck works incredibly well with a beat down deck. You have the dual lane advantage on offence and can defend while your team mate loads enough elexir for an expensive card

that tier list is cap. princess is one of the most useless cards ever in 2v2. its only good for log bait and chip, but both of those strats are useless in 2v2. it doesnt have enough dps to help stop any big pushes and your team mate is probably jsut gonna play firecracker nearby so they get arrows value. high hp units are usually the best and you need at least 1 in every deck: golem, pekka, mega knight. especially if youre playing with randoms they will probably have some cards that synergize well with it. e-giant sucks because for 7 elixir it doesnt have enough hp to ever get to the tower. anything that dies to log/arrows and cost more elixir than them is useless. once double elixir hits there will always be units at the bridge so things liek xbow, princess, wall breakers are useless. basically, the only good cards in 2v2 have high hp or high dmg, and dont give the opponent good spell value. spells are all basically all better than 1v1. if something gives them spell value, it has to be effective quick like firecracker which generally gets value with just 1 shot

Fun fact, if you play normal 2v2 with your friend the average opponents are gonna be so unknowing on how to play 2v2 that if you know the things this guy said and use tornado and royal delivery, all spells is kind of viable.

As someone that's stumbled upon the shenanigans of this game through unsolicited UA-cam recommendations of Gratz going over balance change histories I appreciate the basic explanation of how decks and elixir economies work.

Tornado is the best card because it activates the king tower, firecracker is A tier even tho it always activates the king tower 🤣🤣

The breakdown of deck types was really well done! I've been boring asf and played Log Bait since 2019 and my favorite part about Log Bait is that I don't need to use Goblin Gang or Princess to Bait the Log... I just throw my Goblin Barrel in a stupid position and my opponent has the Log miss entirely!
