Holy Shitoli…this place is steep everywhere. First time up in Lefthand Canyon…one of the few front range spots that’s dry enough to get out. Riding blind on Castle Gulch Spur and Bon Scott (with a few other spots mixed in). Such a fun spot…multiple laps in both directions with the ebike. Alderfer 3 Sisters with the fellas…major mechanical 6 minutes out of the lot on the climb up. Sheered the back rotor completely off the hub. Have no idea how. Was simply climbing and all of a sudden heard the thing jingling all over. The Sluice typically gets all the attention at Floyd Hill (and rightfully so, if you are an advanced rider who loves the steep and technical stuff)…it’s a blast. The “other trail” that never gets any love at Maryland Mountain, Blackhawk, CO. This was a few weeks back (08.21.24) with Zach. Might be my favorite trail at Maryland Mountain. Speedy flow, plenty of side hits, drops, hoppers and poppers. Only one pair of hikers along the way. Love it.

Not much better, when you can hit a typically loose (decompressed granite) the morning after a good soaking of rain. :) Staunton is killer and varied trail with plenty of vertical, chunk, flow and tons of areas that fell like you are up much higher in elevation. 2nd ride on the new Yeti 160e, so I was able to get many more miles/added descents in less time and loved every bit of it. #MTB #emtb ...

First time on the new “get up and go” machine. Yeti 160e…WHAT A BLAST!!! The weather was so bizarre…beautiful and eerie. The mist and moisture made for some low lying fog/clouds. Visibility was barely anything…couldn’t see the tops of the climbs or the bottom of the cliffs. Twin Lakes trail surrounded by 14ers. Absolutely beautiful loop around the Twin Lakes on parts of the Colorado Trail/Continental Divide Trail. Lake edge single track, ups and downs (some steeper than expected), flow, tech, hero dirt, loose rocks, super dense aspen groves, tall pine forest, high plain scrub…all amazing and absolutely breathtaking at times.
