JHS Ross Comp is the only pedal in engaged here...going into a 68 custom Deluxe with a 1×10 JBL E110 speaker as an extension. Sloppy playing, I'm dusting off the cobwebs here after not playing much at all for a while.

sounds nice
Wow
your birdsong licks sound wonderful
@@NolalanD thank you!
This sounds so sick 🔥🔥
Thank you Mr. Noodles for coming out, we will be at Weathervane Playhouse in Newark early spring 2025
@@PinkFloydLive We will certainly have to try and make it out!
I know how to dound like Garcia: be a mediocre guitar player snd make millions of people believing into a cult stupid drug abusers and noodle always the same pentatonic bs with that always the same garbage standard smateur sound. Being an idiot yourself helps a lot.
I have to admit, this isn't too bad!!! I wonder what it would have sounded like if this group could have played on an actual GD setup in the late 80's. The guy singing Bobby's part certainly sounds a lot like Bobby. I for one, would have loved being there for this. But I have to admit, if things got a bit crazy, I'm not sure I could resist taking the tractor for a spin. ROAD SHOW!!!
👍🥁👍
Nice job.
Thank ya kindly!
what's the chord progression, it's awesome
Sounds good man. What's the secret to the tone? Is that middle pickup straight into the amp, or is there more to it?
Hey man! Thanks for the comment! This video is super old and I can't even recall what I was using. I can say it would've been the middle pickup and most likely a BD-2. But that's all I know lol. I now have different gear! Check out some of my newer videos if you want!
I got the same guitar but it’s a lefty
G400 pro? Excellent value!!! Mine is all original except I did replace the saddles and replaced the stock caps with orange drops
Great job brother.Im gettingmy Kay 319 tomorrow..Cant wait
I think you ARE a slide player my friend! I have the exact same guitar. It really sounds amazing with a slide, and your playing is fantastic.
You got it down !
it might be a better idea to find out what YOU sound like
I certainly do that! Doesn't mean it's not entertaining to emulate tones you enjoy for fun 😉
it's the ANTITHESIS of what Jerry was doing.....he would not approve...HE would tell you to find your own self-expression and not try to live in his shoes...all you jam band fan boys are like this....we were never trying to JOIN anything, we WERE the anything....you children need to find YOUR OWN PATHS....@@RamenNoodlez258
It’s easy with that extra finger lol
Very cool! How about more info in the description? like: 1) name of band. 2) name of venue. 3) address (and city) of venue. You guys sound GREAT!! Reminds me of bygone gigs from my misspent youth.
Hey thank you! A lot of that info is in the video thumbnail, but it isnt on the screen very long haha. The band is Hot Buddha (I'm on lead guitar there in the back) and the venue is flappers bar and grille in a town called Mount Vernon! Thank again for the kind words!
Omg yessssss
Thanks for peeping! 🐟
Definitely getting some Backwards Down the Number Line vibes
Thanks! That was the inspiration...and chord progression haha 🐠
Better than bob
Sweet Guitar Brotha! It looks familiar 🤘😉🤘
😉 thanks again man
Is this a song or something that you came up with? This is cool!
Just something i came up with while noodling around with my looper. Thank you by the way!
You have a sound system play something from Jerry and you pantomime it on your guitar.
Thanks for posting! Covered a lot of ground in a shorter length video. Single coil middle setting, some spring reverb, a blues driver with the gain down. EQ in a little brightness and EQ out any super bassey tones. Finally, an envelope can help but is not as important as the other stuff. Wow, you sound great at the end!!! 🔨 that tone
Been looking at this pedal rather than a treadle wah as ive never owned either. Curious if this can do the more traditional analog wah without sounding too digital. Nice playing btw.
It can sort of get a more analog wah sound on the Band pass setting! I highly recommend picking one up!
so whats the mod on the guitar? i see a little extra toggle there. Sounds awesome though.
It's the 7 way mod. If you're unfamiliar with it, it give you two additional pick up combinations. One is just bridge and neck (gives a Tele like tone) and the other is all 3 pups. Just put it in a few months ago...it's a mod I put on a strat I had growing up and wanted to do it to this one as well!
You got it down, man! 🎸
Thank ya kindly!
Sounds really freaking good!
Why, thank you!!
I've found coil-tapping humbuckers gives a great Jerry tone, too. Pretty much the only times I ever use coil taps are for getting Jerry sounds, so they are actually useful for that lol. I also always go with the treble nearly all the way up and the bass nearly all the way down on the amp and that really, really helps get closer. The first time I set my amp that way and started playing I was like "woah, that's instant Jerry!" Plus the extra treble gives it more of that bite that Jerry always had while still having a "clean" tone. It isn't overdrive that gives Jerry's sound that extra bite and ability to cut through the mix, it's all that treble. It just gives you that extra oomph that you need when you're soloing without having to use a distortion or overdrive pedal (obviously Jerry very rarely used heavy overdrive; his tone was basically clean). Works like a charm!
@@Mr_Turtlewizard well, it depends on the type and size of a band really. If you’re in a group with a lot of other instruments, a lot of times the guitar will need to cut some of the mids (the frequencies that fill up the mix most in a large ensemble) for sure, but also depending on if you have a lot of higher frequency instruments you don’t necessarily want to boost the treble a ton or things can start to clash with other high-treble instruments and become ice-picky. In another situation like a three piece (guitar, bass, drums) the guitarist would want to boost the mids a ton as well as lots of treble in order to cover a bigger frequency spectrum to make up for a lack of other instruments. For Jerry, his tone lies mostly in the upper-mids to treble range. Bobby and Keith handled a lot of the mids with their instruments (along with Phil on bass at times), and then phil handled most of the bottom end along with the percussion. So yeah, that situation definitely calls for a lot of treble so that Jerry’s guitar can float along above the other instruments. But yes you’re right, bedroom tone isn’t always a good tone that will sit well in a band mix. In my band we have two guitars, keys, bass, and usually some backing vocals going on and I have found that I love a ton of midrange in my tone as it really can make your guitar truly pop in the mix without needing to add more volume in order to be heard in the mix. Just depends on the band, the room they’re in, the instrumentation of the group, etc..
Powpow owpp pow Nice
Thank you!
Right O
what amp brand is that?
Fender! It's the fender vaporizer
You're a fucking legend my dude. Keep it upppp!!!
Thanks for the view and the kind words!
Do you use 9 or 10 strings or what gets you best Jerry sound?
I've never experimented with strings with the intention on finding what works best for Jerry Tones. But I will say I use 10s! Thanks for the view/comment!
Well played
Thanks!
The final step, unfortunately you are going to have to take off a finger, but if your chasing that true Jerry tone, it’s in the fingers, or lack there of.
That brought back some 1990 memories. Subscribed!
Many thanks!!
Yoo great video my friend! You got a new sub here, keep making how-to grateful dead content please. This video was a joy to watch and hear👍👍
Many Thanks for the sub! You'll find lots of GD related content on my channel! And more is sure to come!
Nice job
Thank you!
😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks wook!
No sloppy playing detected.
Too kind! I will say, I have since noticed I was missing the B minor in the rhythm chord progression 😆
Quick before the bus leaves bro.
