Taking the countour roam for a dive in the waterproof case. Encountered a crayfish who got defensive but was able to pick it up and give it a short ride to a line. Color corrected the video with imovie, it was pretty green before. The camera was set to 1080p, 127 degree view angle.

Finally got a chance to ride Leviathan at Canadas wonderland, on the 1st day open to pass holders: Apr 27, 2012. The ride was cool but I still think I like behemoth more. Contour Roam (Ski Pole Mounted) - Blue Mountain
Переглядів 62312 років тому
Going down another run at blue mountain at night. Have my roam mounted on my buddy's ski pole with the flex strap mount. This time I have the flex strap attached to the pole handle and not the skinny part, this prevents the roam from slipping like it did when mounted on the skinny part of the pole. However this time, should I fall, I will potentially stab myself with the pointy end of the pole....

Contour Roam Night Drive: Yonge St to Hwy 427
that was awesome!
is the rubber strap pretty rigid to handle vibration for mountain bike?
This was informative, thanks.
Would it be a good idea if i wore a regular hat or beanie? If so, would i have the wear the goggles tight in order to keep the contour cam in place?
Shakes too much for skiing. Wish they would develop a universal way of pinning the mount against the goggle frame to prevent the shaking every time you move your head.
Can I say? This is brilliant video! :)
Thats just sad.
Eww ur gross
Its good also because the strap is rubber acting as a shock absorber ;D making a smoother, less jerky shot! thanks for the review, definitely going to get one for my ROAM2 ;D
how do you like the roam 2?
Its incredible for its price, not much different from ROAM other than the waterproof up to 1 meter without a case. I really do recommend it!
JustThat GuyDan the original roam is waterproof to a metre as well, does the 2 film 60 fps?
Iain Campbell ROAM 2 films 60 fps at 720p
I installed Roam 2 firmware on my Roam 1 and can record in 720p60
that would be the contour roam lol
What kind of camera was recording the movie ??
for sure, see my ski pole video!
yah I really like how the angles on the guitar turned out
I just bought this and tried to put it in my baseballs hat feels awkward but i think it will fit perfectly hehehe
Those mounts are in clearance in Bestbuy I bought all their mounths.... all mounts cost me 25.00 its a real good deals.. Im a guitar player and this is a good setup for my guitar... Thanks for the vids u rawk!!!
Mine I bought a mount to my windshield... This mount does a lot of things
Do you think you could mount the mount to a helmet with maybe two sided tape? That way the mount would say put and you could run your goggle strap through it? Just seems like it would bounce around without being secured. I have the stick on mount on my mountain biking helmet but usually wear shades not goggles. I want a helmet mount for my motorcycle helmet but i need to war goggles ugh.
4;13 - POLAND ! :D
I would not use it for a diving mask actually. for diving I would just hold it to my hand
possibly, but better to get goggle strap mount instead
I do Downhill Mountain Biking.... It fully depends on How tight your goggles are...Because when I put my goggles on there really tight...But If the Goggles are more Loose the Contour mount might slip abit up and down etc.
just a normal baseball cap, with thecurved bill. I might get a helmet so, it's fine :)
might be tough with a baseball cap what kind of hat are you thinking?
can you put it on with a hat? or do you have to get a hat mount?
2:09 was the best!
I think it would absorb the shock a little better because the cam could flex with the goggle strap vs absorbing the full shock through the helmet, but I have no biking experience. I did take the cam and mounted it on a dune buggy frame recently though, it was very shaky footage due to the shake of the motor and bumps
Good video. I appreciate it. Just some constructive criticism.. please don't be offended, but when you talk you end your sentences like you are asking a question. Heres an example? I am going to state my comment? Right here? On this page? It looks weird with the punctuation as such, but it sounds even stranger.
with the google strap do you find it bounces (makes the camera a little more floppy) than it would be if fixed directly to a helmet? I am curious to see if it works well for motocross (lots of hard landings).
no, it is just hand held for this one
Sweet thanks saw several people post vids on headband mount but I always see the side of their head, thanks for sharing you're setting preference.
I am using the headband mount and the contour @ 1080p. if you dont use 1080, the field of view is much bigger and you will get more of your surroundings in the video. you have to get camera tilted fairly low, but the laser will help align it
Hey I was wondering what kind of set up are u using to get that first person view on the vid while u were reviewing. Did u use the contour?, trying to get that exact set up my self don't know wether to get the hat mount or head band mount. Looks really cool.
OK great thanks. I just want to be sure the contour +2 is worth the money before spending 300 bucks ;)
nah you really dont notice it, not super heavy, doesnt slide. But you can always adjust the straps more
possibly if riding over rough terrain, though I watched a lot of bike and motorcycle vids and they didnt seem that bad
Do you think it would vibrate a lot on a bike or motorcycle?
U got an sbs tax stamp for the shotty, or are u up in Canada?
Youre welcome. Also also you can mount it around your ankle while on a motorcycle
why thank you! it wont work on all handles though
Whats the pegs on the mounts made of? Plastic or metal?
Door handle mount is genius!! Never seen before
At least he cushioned my fall haha
on the handle there would likely be enough diameter to make it fit
Would I be able to use this strap on a fishing rod?
looks icy
this is my fav. but the goggle strap mount is pretty good too The headband mount that has its uses too, and the rotational mount is good for flat rurfaces or mounting permanent on a surface
What other Contour mounts do you own and find useful?
Perfect review just got my roam and definitely need to get this accessory now. Thanks!
