The Hijacked Hollies - Performing a tribute to The Hollies. The Hollies are an English pop/rock group known for their pioneering and distinctive three part vocal harmony style. The Hollies became one of the leading British groups of the 1960s (231 weeks on the UK singles charts during the 1960s; the 9th highest of any artist of the decade) and into the mid 1970s. They still tour the UK and Europe, playing to packed auditoriums.

The Hollies never released a 'Christmas' single. So, we thought of the next best thing... their current bass guitarist, Ray Stiles, had a Christmas No.1 in 1974 with Mud and a song called 'Lonely This Christmas'. So, with apologies to both Ray and Mud, we gave it a go...

Nice Job Guys. However, you might be treading dangerous grounds with name trademark violations. All you really see is the "Hollies" on the drumhead. LOL

The harmonies are pretty good..but the energy levels in the entire song..sounds exactly what it is....mature men. There is no youthful energy...it lacks impact.
that youthful energy is super important in this and all 60's brit invasion music. This also sounds like it's in the wrong (low) key.

The biggest problem for any Hollies tribute bands is getting the harmonies right. Not such an issue for the 1970s hits, but earlier stuff is difficult. How do u come close to Nash? His voice was unique. That said, the lead singer is convincing. He should replace Peter Howarth of The Hollies
