What does SD 055 mean? I’m looking to buy a steering damper but I’m not sure what SD 055 is or what’s the difference between other numbers
@@fabianvillarreal3162 it’s the individual part number
Booked my MT09 in yesterday for August can't wait 😎
Hi, what was the baseline before mapping?
@@dvdfll let me check
Iam going have to call done with my road decat 2017 S1000r. See what you can do mate.
Yes sir! U did my cbr 3yrs ago...only 2hp but felt like 20 in the mid. Now find some software for the new aprilias🙏 please dont make me buy a handheld😂
@@jasperpearce8316 yeah - the new ones are a bit of a bugger at the moment
I didn't change any sprockets or anything but I would like to just calibrate my speedo so it matches GPS speed. Can I do this with this device?
it can....
Always liked the look of the RS. 100% recommend the Lextek kit.
Suppose with stuff like shocks it’s easy to get away with it as as a customer it’s hard to verify what a shop did and whether they did it properly. I’d have to strip the shock myself to see what’s been changed. With forks that’s easier but I’m still not likely to take my forks apart to check condition of bushings, etc. when I just paid a shop to service them. Same reason I went to you guys to get my valves checked. You came highly recommended from a personal connection and have tons of great reviews - and did a great job! But any standard garage it’s too easy to just say ‘oh yeah they were in spec’ and save half a day’s work but still charge for it. (I also appreciated that you actually had a sheet with the valve measurements you took written down which I doubt most shops would have, which again just provided added confidence). Aside, I actually need a fork service on my Striple later this year - I’ll drop you an email in due course to get booked in.
I agree with what you're saying, but how do you 'be careful'? I don't think they'll allow me into the workshop to watch them working on my shock. I recently serviced the closed cartridge forks on my bike. Its not that difficult, once you have the tools.
Well said. I send my clients ones off for Bench flashes but the same thing - to specialist places that have huge data on the dyno from those bikes. And all of them are told and have been for years - it's a Ballpark - nothing beats custom.
I’m still waiting guys to produce the item for my Honda Transalp 750 2023-2024 ! Can I have any information about that ?
sadly, it doesnt seem they offer thst bike yet
@@parkittdynoandsuspension I know it. I’m just waiting the release day ..
I´m suprised for all that wear of those internal shock parts. I thought that they last longer. Good video.
Can you guys service original equipment rear shocks? E.G. 2003 Yamaha R6?
@@mickl8212 yes we can
Can't believe bits wearing that quick. That's mad!. As u say, probably poor oem parts. 😮 And highlights a lot of cowboy dealers.😢
@@matthewjackson3034 sad but true. The KTM shock was a bit…. Er…. Shocking to see that wear. And it hadn’t had ridiculous use from what we were told.
Valid point that mate , shame you can't get into to the manufacturer of the parts that fail for reinstall costs , wouldn't of thought it would ever happen but should really 🤔
Hi. Did you have experience of installing clapm-on pod air filter instead of full airbox structure? KN ru1750 for example. Maybe some experience from other bikes? I just installed it on 690 and got some extra noise from air intake while middle+ range rpm. Somebody will like it somebody not. But it definitely got louder!!! I am interested in how it affects the power. Thanks
@@user-df1ss4qg7u we haven’t done may pod filter on these - you would defo get more induction noise !
Great vid. That's weird the VSS will fit CPS location. Definitely something you wont forget when another dodgy running rebuilt engine comes in. Client pays the labour, It gets difficult to charge exactly as it mounts up. Best thing would be to bill as you go along in stages so the client is happy. (At least get authorisation) New parts supplied and fitted should have labour included imo if the part becomes faulty. As a garage you buy at trade and charge retail or markup. Bikers are tight though 😅
Hello Tony i must say youve always been great guy and good at your job as well as a Fair man , lots of Love Anj (636) 😉
If you supplied the new part and fitted it, then it failed, the onus is on you to supply and fit another one. Unfortunately the contract is between you and the customer (not the customer and the manufacturer) and that's how the law would see it if the customer took it to a small claims court. Consumer rights act 2015. Also if the bill came to over 100quid and the customer paid by credit card, the credit card company would be equally liable for faulty goods or services not received (section 75 consumer credit act I believe). We claimed the 2.5k cost of our holiday back from the CC company when the company we were dealing with went bust.
In addition to the above, second hand parts, no warranty on them unless offered by the supplier. Again as already mentioned, as good working relationship with parts manufacturers/distributors, should go some way on their part to offering some sort of good will gesture for you guys. (If you don't ask, you don't get). Hopefully situations like this for you guys are few and far between though!
Good points there. I know people like to save money where they can, I've done it myself in the past. I would always just let any garage know if you have replaced something yourself, that way it gives some peace of mind to the person servicing the bike/car, etc. If u choose to use a used part, at least ensure it's a genuine item!
I think most of us accept/understand that the garage/fitter bares no responsibility for used part. The owner has to deal with the seller of thatvpart fpr any recourse. Any garage supplying parts to fit should bear responsibility for them, and recourse for faulty parts should be with the supplier. Looks like this one was tricky for all involved, and the sensor wasn't knowingly fitted incorrectly, but the did sell it as fit for purpose and as such bear responsibility, or some.
Simple in my mind mate. If you just supplied the part, the warranty is just on the part. You supplied and fitted the part then it’s all on you i’m afraid! New parts only of course! Used parts no warranty full stop, simples!
and here is the debate.... why should the fitter have to foot the bill when someone elses parts fail? flip side.... why should the customer? because the supplier or the manufacturer sure as hell wont. will this push shops into saying - you supply the parts then so we have no exposure to warranty labour issues? Then again, we could write into our T&C's that should a part fail we will expedite the removal / replacement but all cost will be passed to the customer? its all very different of course if the installation was the cuase of the failure.... OOOOhhhh.... my head hurts lol
@@parkittdynoandsuspensionI'd like to think that a good reputable parts supplier would have a good working relationship with the manufacturer of the parts they supplied, so if an issue arises with any parts supplied then they would be happy to cover the labour cost for fitting the replacement parts. I'm guessing from your feelings on it, that's not what you've experienced in the past?
@@MigV6 never once has a supplier or manufacturer ever offered to help cover costs. Even if it was an additional trade discount on future parts or a free part to sell at our discretion to cover our losses. And as a point, we always do warranty work without question - I just wanted people opinion rather than law / legislation.
@@parkittdynoandsuspension 😮 so using this video as an example, if you'd fitted a new cam sensor and the supplier said it came with X months warranty, that warranty only covers the part itself even though someone is going to have to foot the bill for replacing their faulty part? I suppose I expected it to be that way as if I gave you a part to fit and it failed within a warranty period I'd foot the bill then see what the supplier or manufacturer had to say. But from going on your experience, I'd be disappointed with their response 😆
ditto please provide much more information and show how to install and tune
To be honest, we did t get time. In term of installation - you have to remove the old form top, strip the centre out of the top and for the manual ones and it works the same except you use a 3MM screw diver instead of the dash board - it’s turns them into conventional forks.
any link to that exhaust?
If you message us info@parkittracing.co.uk we can provide full details
is this map something i can get from you for a dyno tuner here in america? there’s no mapping for the moto2 here😢
You should be able to. Look for a Woolich racing tuner - they will need the bike as the mapping is done through the OBD port
Eh i always just diy my parts. If you have a manual and are competent you will be fine. Ive done fork overhauls and an engine swap with no issues. Saved me like $4k over the years.
Not sure I follow…. The point is this person wasn’t competent. If you’re competent and have half an idea crack on…. Excellent! If you’re not I’d suggest leaving safety critical things alone.
@@parkittdynoandsuspension I was referring to the part at the end where it was like "that's why you NEED to go to specialist centers like ours", instead of saying something like, "if you don't know what you are doing, its better to take it to a qualified mechanic, especially with safety critical things." The difference is subtle but key. I can see the incentive structures at play XD
Mind making a video of how is this swap? 😀
We ran out of time with the instal so couldn’t. Perhaps in the next set we will
I wonder if you can help. I have a uono 1100 and I can't seem to get the cordpna quickshifter to goto 2 flash mode for correct shift orientation. Do you know how to do this?
It’s a pain in the bum - the instructions are awful. Trying to do it at the shop at the moment on one.
Oh that is a shame.
When we figure the way out I’ll post it
key on, when it flashes hold the lever down until it rapidly flashes, when its rapidly flashing, pulse the lever (good firm press and release) 6 times, holding it down on the 6th.

Nice, but where is the dyno graph before/after? :)
happy to share the dyno results if your interested. drop us a line via insta or FB
My mistake you did mention mini mot test I should pay more attention in future lol
Hi 👋 please need your help if is possible I can’t open the file hm sabs on windows Any advice ? 🙏
Looks great. Their site states a dyno is required to setup. Is this essential or can it be fitted diy and ridden without programming please? Mt10sp 2021 it’s going on. I’ll be in touch either way but unit or supply and install mate. Thanks. Stuart.
You can do it without these of a dyno but take care to get the settings bang on as any issues will not be supported if you didn’t take there advise. Doesn’t the 2021 come with a blipper? I thought it did?
what about lights etc headlamp alignment cable tensions brake fluid levels etc
Yep - all covered - maybe I was too broad as that’s kind of a given? I’m pretty sure I said it’s like a mini MOT and you check those items during that test so yes we check the lights, indicators, brake lights. This wasn’t a “how to do an annual” more of a what’s involved rather than a definitive list.
I would expect a torque check of frame and wheel bolts performed at the annual check, too.
That’s an interesting point - for instance we check the caliper bolts but not the frame or wheel. We do a standard check with a wrench / Allen key on things like pinch bolts but not a torque check as the schedule doesn’t demand it but a very valid point
Wow .. this is my bike ❤
sounds awsome doesnt it
That chain looks tight
I was just giving a light wobble for the video - there was a full check and service off camera 👍
I have a 2016 s1000rr and my tps sensor i bad is there any videos on how to change it
we havent done one of those but it is easy but a little time consuming. main thing is that you have a set of torx and security torx to hand :0)
Pretty easy on 2010 just remove fuel tank and air box
I changed mine and now it won't start do I need to take it to a shop
The inside sleeve of my Ohlins electronic fork has extended and I am not sure how to get it to return back into the upper housing if that makes sense
the funny thing is that you think anyone cares
You clearly did, to comment. Thanks for the mindful input.
Can you buy from your shop or does it have to be online?
You can buy from our shop but might be worth calling ahead to make sure we have stock. Thanks
One of my biggest questions that I have with Woolich Racing is, how much of a higher RPM Limiter can/would be raised if requested? I'm not looking for anything over 1500RPM, but a slight raise in the rev limit would be ideal. I would be sending my bike up to a local Dyno tuner and they just got Woolich Racing software
Without checking I can’t recall…. Sorry
Do you buy 2 potentiometers ? Because the throttle valve sensor looks exactly the same but a different price and product number
Depends on the year bike - some have two throttle bodies sensors and other have the one throttle body sensor ans the electronics twist grip
Mines a 2012!
Busy as ever 👌👌👌
🙏
How many degrees ignition timing is safe to advance without dyno? What AFR you targeting at cruising, mid and open throtle?
Without checking on the dyno I wouldn’t change the ignition.
1. Can you tune the autoblipper timing with a bike that comes with the stock autoblipper ? (like is there stock autoblipper map in the stock ECU?) OR 2. Can you only tune the autoblipper(provided by Woolich) timing with woolich racing tool?
With the MT10 - we can’t adjust the stock blipper maps. However, there is an option to buy a race tools key but keep the stock hardware and this allows for adjustment
Why would you want to change from the electronic the the manual ones?
Sometimes it doe to damage, sometimes it’s because in a race environment you don’t want a failure of an electrical part - many reasons really
main reason is to BUY take off forks and install on non electronic standard bike that can not run electronic version You can get em much cheaper than new set of manual ohlins. Why i am not buying? not enough information on how they work how well they work and IF the R1M forks will even fit the triples of the standard R1 or MT10 unless someone SAYS> I have to assume it is no go....bery poorly promoted IMHO
@@dougiequick1 that’s fair enough - it want intended as a tutorial and the tech didn’t really so a in depth video due to time. To be honest, we didnt get time. In term of installation - you have to remove the old form top, strip the centre out of the top and for the manual ones and it works the same except you use a 3MM screw diver instead of the dash board - it’s turns them into conventional forks.
Have you guys done any testing with the standard unmodified airbox and a K&N or similar cotton/oiled air filter?
we havent and sorry for the delayed reply
