How awesome... I'm excited to see your work! The future for the Arts is bright and we need bright students and seasoned professionals to harambee!
Fascinating work. I would love to take a walk about your sculpture park.
We would congratulate CUHK on this fantastic exhibition.
Congrats to Josh and you all! Great job!!!
Thanks a lot to be part of the finalists this year, we are very proud!
Congrats to my uncle!!
Thank you
Excellent presentation, and engaging ideas - very powerful for future of university museums possibilities.
Super informative! 😀

Wow. Amazing! Congrats to Mariana, our neighbor/ hermanos, and to UMAC. I am learning so much with you all here from Brazil.
Very good! Congrats to Eva and you all for this!
Thank you for bringing the topic to the table. Now, we have to open museums in universities to the public.
According to the latest CDC data in 2020 there were 3,390,029 deaths from all causes in the US. 351,430 or 10.4 % were attributed to C-19 as the underlying cause. YTD 2021 there have been 1,906,849 deaths from all causes. 203,339 or 10.7% were attributed to C-19 as the underlying cause. Half of the alleged 700,000 or so C-19 deaths were actually caused by underlying conditions, e.g. heart attacks, stroke, obesity, kidney failure, COPD, etc. If a lifetime of bad habits or bad luck brought you to the above, too bad. Life’s a bitch and then you die. Under 65, 88.0% of cases (Graph 2/6), over 65, 78.2% of deaths (graph 5/6). Under 18, 40.1% of cases, under 18, 0.9% of deaths. If you are 65+ in a nursing home or assisted living or hospice and the staff roaming among multiple facilities brings in C-19 you are f****. But you were f*** anyway. Mother Nature and her good buddy Grim Reaper are just doing their duty, culling the herd of the too many, too old, too sick, too crammed together as Medicare/Medicaid cash cows in badly run (BLUE) elder care facilities. Almost half of the C-19 cases and deaths are in only five countries: the US, Brazil, Mexico, India and Peru (Peru??). Sorry excuse for a global pandemic. But blaming China avoids dealing with our own crappy eldercare systems. The lock downs, distancing, masks that destroyed small business, gyms and movie theaters were totally unjustified. Version 1.0 090421
Thank you so much. What a great presentation and round table.
Glad you liked it!
This question is for Marta. What is the future plan for a wider engagement between UMAC and University Museums and Collections in Nigeria, beyond the present interaction with YSMA? I raised the question because I am currently collecting data on contemporary significance (covering the agency and uses) of University collections in Nigeria for my ongoing Mphil/PhD program research in the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. But in my interactions with curators and other professionals in some of the universities that I have visited (not yet been to YSMA), many of them came clean about not having any relationship with UMAC, particularly after I mentioned UMAC- ICOM's leading role in curating the activities of University Museums and Collections globally.
Philip -- it's Marta. I only saw this now. It's true that UMAC is still largely unknown in Africa (only a few members). It has not been easy. We're interested in learning more about your PhD. Fantastic topic!
Congratulation to Tartu University Museum!
Congratulations!
Excellent concept !
Lebanon has no natural resources & no money. The international vultures, the EU, UN, US, IMF, WB will soon 'feed' on them. Lebanon has no future
Very interesting report about the situation in Beirut, thank you.
Thank you for sharing this and to keeping us posted
So good to know this information even if it isn't very good. If there is something we can do from afar, please let us know, Gilbert ane Marta.
Thanks, Marta. I am waiting for the Beirut series. Send my best wishes to Gilbert and good luck to all museum workers from Lebanon.
Thank you Marta
