The Raw Traveller
Приєднався 17 сер 2014
Named Raunak Airan, I am passionate about hiking and adventure; love travelling raw for the unmatched experiences and the unknown elements associated with it.
It was all I thought of and all I wanted to do.
And hence, I quit my job in finance to live a life of my dreams. (I am a B.com(H) graduate from SRCC and a Chartered Accountant but that doesn't excite me.) I am travelling full time from October, 2021. And the goal is not just to explore but to live each day with the blessings of nature. To live infinite lives. To experience the gifts bestowed and live a content life.
I think I am already doing that!

3 Passes and Everest Base Camp | Solo | Without flights
It has been a long meditative journey. Long days of blissful hiking. An experience like never before right in the lap of the Himalayas. It took me around 22 days to complete the whole trek. The camera didn't support at higher altitudes, hence some footage is not the best quality. But this is what we have. The 3 passes and EBC.
Enjoy the journey. Hike.
Move the body, Still the mind.

This was my first 6000m climb. Hopefully, there will be many more. The summit push from the base camp was around 6 hours but the descent to Chukhung was long. Overall it was a 14-hour-long day and a great start to my future mountaineering expeditions. Every breath counts. Stay raw! Surrounded by hills of Western Ghats in all directions, Satara is a town popularly known for Kaas Pathar, a UNESCO heritage site. But that is just the tip of the iceberg.
