Imaginez un solo de Keith et après John et pour finir pete qui éclate sa guitare ha ha ha 😂( Guy platteau Marseille France) Roger jouent au lasso avec le micro
@davie504 can't play this. He isn't even a bass player....
Entwistle takes em out
That bass solo was just stupid AMAZING! And you know what, Pete Townshend's shredding after the bass solo was also stupid AMAZING!!! Badass.
Sheet Music please
John Entwistle died doing 2 out of the 3 things he loved most. Cocaine and hookers. The other thing was dominating the bass which he was best at.
Hey, this guy is pretty good at the bass guitar.
And Ladies and Gentlemen , This is why John is called “Thunder Fingers!”
I was so lucky to see one of his last performances in the UK absolute legend. Rest in peace. Hope your still rocking in heaven 🤘
@noodldwart comment ridicule ? John ox ? ( Guy platteau Marseille)
Best ever
Entwistle and Knopfler - just standing there, your everyday perfectionist at work.
He looks emotionless like he could fall asleep any minute but he's shredding
John Entwistle was and is one of the greatest bass players of all times. In the 1960's, he was maybe not the first, but one of the first bassists to explore all the possibilities of his instrument. In my opinion, one of the greatest merits of Entwistle was to reveal that the bass guitar could be a full part soloist instrument and not just a simple accompaniment instrument. Also, this very gifted artist was an outstanding melodist. Entwistle virtuosity is never gratuitous. It's always at the service of a melodic thought. Also, his playing is so fluent. Each time I listen one of his solos, I have the feeling to hear a powerful version of a sea wave. So much power and so much liquid softness in one symphonic movement. A lot of very talented bassists followed your path: Flea, Billy Sheehan, Geddy Lee, just for naming a few. R.I.P., bro. We'll never thank you enough for all the rich legacy you left us. ✌✌✌🤟🤟🤟🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍🎼🎼🎼
My bass just packed its flight case and emigrated to Ukraine in shame!😢
I think one of the scariest things about John Entwhisle is that he was one of the earliest rock bass players that can shreds, but even today, this is still very impressive. And all the cool looking basses he had. He just seems like come from the future to his time
He legit took a formal course in playing bass guitar as i have read somewhere. No doubt he was a gifted bass player RIP the ox , their wont be another you.
He’s famous because of is rocknroll lifestyle and he was a good bass player for rock but let’s be honest, he wasn’t good for solos… this is musically really poor (pentatonic newbie plan for those who know a bit of guitar)
Ladies and Gentlemen, there's your Bass Guitar Masterclass. Enjoy.
Long live the OX!!
Has there ever be a better bass solo under that roof , doubt it .
Worst bass player of all time!
Im playing down under your moms trousers
He was finger tapping before evh had teeth
@@nativeamerican8069 Leave that to Guitarists. Entwistle missed the point of Bass.
He was your favorite bass players favorite bass player
The Ox didn't just make the Bass sound like a Bass he made it sound like a Guitar and Machine Gun. Other than Jerry Scheff if the Who had decided to call it quits in 1969 the only other Bass Player I would approve playing in the TCB Band with Elvis Presley's Concerts is John Entwistle.
Man, I hear a lot of (Anesthesia)-Pulling Teeth in that solo
WHOA!!! This is AWESOME, CRAZY, FANTASTIC, SUPERB, REMARKABLE, UNBELIEVABLE, ETC., ETC., super-pro bass skills live in action!! John is so amazing!!
The guy can really play that thing :)
É o melhor do universo, melhor q flea, Steve Harris, Cliff Burton.
Hi. Whats the brand of strings that the late John was using? Thanks
I think it was maxima or something like that
2023!
RIP John Entwistle, he was a phenomenal bass guitarist !!!!!
2.7 million bass players
Genio John
The Guv'nor, this guy was way ahead of his time, turned bass into a lead instrument
First comment in 6 years. Algorithm is hiding all the good stuff it seems.
House of Blues Chicago is the Venue
this show was INCREDIBLE!!! nov 12 1999, this was chicago house of blues in the first festival seating concert since the Cincinnati stampede it was on the "blues to the bush" cd. this was one of 5 gigs they did for charity. believe it or not my dad is the one you hear going "woohoo" in the audience lolol. i remember when the cd came out and we laughed about knowing which songs came from our show because he was doing that the whole show. so here is my cool concert story. my dad first snuck $500 in tickets past my mom, second let me ditch school to go, third we arrived in chicago at like 5 a.m. or something like from cincy that to camp the concert all day, then a scalper tries to buy my ticket telling my dad they will never let me into a 21 and up only bar. so my dad goes on to talk to 20 different people one of which finally agrees to let the 9 year old who doesnt know what being drunk is through the doors right before the opening. and not to be left out my dad at the end of the show my dad yelled to john entwistle to throw him a pick. an obnoxious fan grabbed it and threw it back, so my dad yelled for one more try pointing at me and sure enough my dad snagged it. all true. i was too short being only 9 at the time so i sat on the bass amp right up front, totally unreal experience. the venue was small so it was LOUD!!! 21 years later... my dad and i still have hearing issues, so worth it!!! long live rock long live the who. if i could relive any experience in life this song at this show would be it. hands down.

NO NOT RAH ITS HOUSE OF BLUES
maybe the RAH but different show or different camera angle
I could live 10 lifetimes and never master the bass like Entwistle. RIP John, you are missed.
Exactly what I thought the first time I saw this solo....how many lifetimes would I need to be able to duplicate what the Ox did on the bass in just one?
OX!!
This is at the House of Blues. Excellent cut from the tour
UN-F'n REAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
