Holy Trinity Catholic Church
United States
Приєднався 3 жов 2014
Holy Trinity is a Roman Catholic parish sponsored by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), a religious community that was founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in the 16th century. The mission of the parish, since her inception in 1787, has been to help parishioners live the Gospel of Jesus, that is, to celebrate the Sacraments well and often, to engage in collaborative ministry with the laity and all people of good will, to foster individuals' deepening relationship with Jesus through all forms of the Spiritual Exercises, and to be in solidarity with persons who are living on the margins of society, empowering them to change unjust social structures. In this way, Holy Trinity serves the larger Church and the people of God in the Washington, D.C. area.

Contains a powerful call for mercy in the homily of Fr. Pat Earl S.J.
Thank you Fr Ben
Thank you, Linda. -Michael
Thank you, Matthew, for your thoughtful reflection and encouragement! -Michael
Thank you, Liz. -Michael
Thank you, Linda, for a wonderful reflection on personal responsibility for our common home.
Amen.
Beautiful Homily.... and by the way, she indeed SUCCEEDED.
Thank you, Liz! Such a wonderful and thoughtful tie of OT, NT, and current events.
As beautiful as the stained glass windows are, I wish the camera showed those receiving Eucharist instead of a window. For those unable to participate in Eucharistic live and in person, it is helpful to at least see others in our community do so.
So wonderful to have an update on the border situation, as well the current work of KBI. My thanks to the Holy Trinity Migrant Team for hosting and posting.
This has so much wisdom in it I feel like I should listen to it daily. Alot to unpack and learn. Thank you and keep doing this!
The ending reminded me of the song “Day by Day.” Oh dear Lord, three things I pray...”Dear Lord, of thee three things I pray: To see thee more clearly, Love thee more dearly, Follow thee more nearly, Day by day.” Let it be so.
Although I saw this a few days late, I found it very meaningful. The waiting is a good point of liminality where we can meet God. I need to sit with this.
I have seen the opera, "Salomé" which shows how the wickedness and evil can be transmitted along a line of people to perceived insult. There are so many distractions and guilty pleasures available, it takes alot of focus to stay on the path to the narrow gate...I pray we can do that today and every day.
Thanks David , what a beautiful reflection .
Thank you Fr Ben

Well said Fr. Hawley...
And we will fix the stretched image on the second camera for next week! We couldn't fix it mid-stream
For those streaming at home later in the day, the Gathering song begins at 15:52 (click on the timecode to skip there)
Thank you
Thank you Fr. Hawley for your excellent homilies. You bring it all to life. Hope you have a Happy 2021. Trish Dammen
Thx man for the breif summery 🙏🏼
This was simply beautiful, thank you!
Beautiful and deeply appreciated- both the reflection and the woman sharing it
This is so healing. Thank you so much.
This was a fine reminder of the necessity of parents teaching our children about God's love for us and our duty to share that love with others. What we do rather than what we say speaks volumes to our children and all those around us.
Such an interesting story, thank you!
Great job
This is excellent, thank you :)
Thank u cus tommy
Thanks, Bobby. Stay healthy. Can't wait until we can all gather as a family again!

Thank you very much
Thank you for this timely message.
Thank you Fr. Ben!
Nice presentation. And good to see two abrahamic faiths come together to discuss about their faith. Huge respect from me (a muslim) to the fellow christian brothers and sisters for inviting our brother to take a lecture about our faith.
I would love to read your life story, sounds like quite a journey.
Thank you, well-said.
Thank you, all. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming to me at Holy Trinity over these initial weeks. I look forward to when I can finally see you all in person. Also, prayers and blessings for our Jewish sisters and brothers who celebrate these High Holy Days. Peace.
Welcome, Fr. Tom.
Welcome to Holy Trinity Georgetown Father Simisky. Thank you for this wonderful Homily.

I would love to see more Ignatian-oriented meditation put online.
