Мастера своего дела.
Good video. Thank you for sharing it.
I,wouldn't have minded working in the coal pit in South Wales where I'm from.
Tell me the name of this equipment for moving lava in a mine?
Nice video but your speech is intelligible.
Very well done !
The best video of a Longwall Move. Thanks 👍
Great video mate I take it there getting the long wall up and running on a new face ..⚒️
I used 2 drive a fsv machine putting the supports in place many years ago in uk ..now I drive 44 ton trucks
I am working on long wall
Diidn't work for long with them, but never trusted that roof bolting. I always prefer to use wooden posts and metal posts.
Wow😘❣️
💩
Nice video
Looks like a mineral extraction engineer's job is all about optimization.
yep,but also about safety!
Please tell clearly your voice/ slang is not good
What software did you use for that animation design, I want to use it for my School Assignment,
Does the ground above the mine sink down because of the coal excavated below?
There is a lot of variables ie. Face width, depth of cover, extraction height and geological to name a few. Generally the surface does subside but can be designed to minimise the subsidence or eliminate completely if required. A worked example is a typical mine at 250meters depth 300 meter wide, mining a 4 meter seam may result in surface to subside 1 to 2.5 meters.
Yes
Depends on depth and strata strength above.
Good
load coal!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very interer
can't understand the accent
Amazing
Nobody in his right mind would go down into the pit by choice, it's a graveyard filled with the spirits of testosterone. Buried alive ? No thanks !
Is that long wall coal mine ?
Simplistic, yes. Accurate, no. There is more roof and pillar mining that's done prior to the longwall. You need more entries (or roads, as he calls them) and more equipment. There's better descriptions out there than this.
diesel machinery and no rock dust...YES!
THANKS!..
Carl Horn worked 41 years in the mines
Fantastic description and simplistic animations to really explain it in layman's terms. Thank you very much for this!
underground long wall mining knowledge
nice video brother
i mean its alright
i mean its alright
After 8 yrs with the war on coal, did anyone think of another job ? I say this because when the Railroad brought in machines to replace the men, my father was devastated. It did not matter that he was a hard worker and a strong man. That was why he pushed us to go through high school . I pray for the miners and their families and God Bless.
Mary Camerota god bless u mary for your coment worked down mine 37 years
I heard that ten to twenty thousand coal mining jobs will be created by Trump in Kentucky and West Virginia. maybe forty thousand in Illinois.
Trump to bring back coal jobs? Bullshit. Coal sales have been falling for the last 10 years. Obsolete. Trump can not order coal sales. Fracking natural gas is replacing coal. Clinton offered better paying jobs in renewal energy, hillbillies declined. Now he is taking away their health insurance.
MrBonners. I agree with you, I was having some fun, I put eleven years underground for the UMWA myself and feel ripped off due to pension problems,
You pension issues have nothing to do with the bill of goods you hillbilly swallowed from con man Trump.
@@MrBonners looks like you were wrong anyway 😁
The Underground coal mine I work at is closing..they update us from time to time our inevitable shutdown..one guy started crying, Saying But Trump Said He Was Going To Save Us😢. The mine manager told him, politicians will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get your vote, unfortunately Trump can't do anything for the coal industry.
I hate link n lock crib.
I can't believe they bolt that buch
is that moranbah mine ????
sexygirlove20 it wouldn't b Moranbah norths new longwall, those chicks are massive, 70t I think
That's the old longwall gear but its definitely Moranbah north
explained in 5 mins what took my teacher 1 hour
Hi, Im looking for Coal Mining footage for a video clip and wonder if you would be able to help out? Can you message me if you can via our channel?
sell it
I took care of my unit .
fct's don't stop
best part of longwall mining is recovery , loved every minute of it. Too many cowboys in the game now only watch out for themselves and not their mates. To those still in mining stay safe and look after your mates and your selves
Robert Kennedy love every second of it pulling shields setting timbers as we pull greatest job in the world
Totally agree it was the best job i ever had .Loved pillar extraction as well but nothing beats longwall .
Robert Kennedy where did ya work at if you don't want to say the company. Then just area I know around here in the part of WVU I'm in we keep company name out of everything
I am from Australia mate. I worked in several underground mines in the Hunter Valley of NSW . As i said i done longwall and pillar extraction . I dont mind naming them but there is heaps .
How tall is y'all seem I always wanted to pull pillars but in my mine we don't pillar
put your glasses on while we do this video please ? who is the wanker who said that and more so who is the cockhead playing with high pressure fluid and not wearing glasses
Beautiful conditions.. I run scoop hauling/loading/setting shields and I'd kill for conditions like that!!! Btw, all those guys standing in the red area while he's setting the first shield, that's a BIG no-no!!!
Aussie coal seams are huge. I worked in Bolsover Colliery in the UKs Derbyshire coalfield. You had to bend to travel down our tallest seam (Tupton). but the 3/4 seam was only 2'9" so the shearer driver and chock men would be crawling on hands and knees at best. Usually though, due to the amount of roof spillage in the chock race you could only get through the face by pulling yourself through on your belly, commando style.
Fuck that. I've worked in the hole i ain't crawling nowhere except to save mine or someone's life.
Excelente
Oh I have A comment . I was laid off from the only job I have ever had that I actually enjoyed . The coal mines in southwest Virginia are the safest place in the world . It's A dangerous job do not get me wrong . I only worked for A few years underground but the time I was underground I always felt safe . The only reason that I felt safe was the people . The best people I have ever met in my life . Hardest working , most intelligent , down to earth people you would ever meet . The mines that have been shut down in this area have devastated the economy . They just shut down A whole hospital In Lee county . The effects are on our jobs . Now there are a few large mines still open for NOW . But all of that coal goes to China , to support the steel industry that left the rust belt behind . I worked my butt off to get the best job of my life and then politicians threw it away for Fracking . I mean come on have you even looked into what kind of chemicals they are pumping into our ground water . These people do not care . They make their millions , billions and move to another country leaving us with out any jobs . Were drinking hydrochloric acid ...THEY....... Then say " Well it's good for the environment " ......are you freaking kidding me . Please people reading this spend a few moments of your time and look into fracking They say coal is bad ........it's not the environment they care about it's their buddies bank accounts that change the policies in this country . Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely .....................GodSpeed ...................... ....................The Cracken ................................................................
lol "down to earth" haha
Trump said he was going to bring coal back another lie!
i dream to visit a coal mine, in france impossible , closed since 2004 , its pity Is there somebody can help to visit oine ?
jean-michel torcol if you come to America, you can tour the one I work in.
hi Daniel, where is your coal mine?
jean-michel torcol come to Australia mate, I worked for one of the big mining companies and occasionally took friends down for a look. U have to see it to understand the complexity and engineering that goes into UG mining, and by the way Australia has the safest UG mines in the world, there was a huge shake up in regards to safety in mining after the Moura mine disaster in 1994 which led to new laws/regulations and a new mining act in 1999. I think I got the dates right😀
To Daniel Phillips and Sean Bamberry: is it possible to start a career in mining (coal especially) in the US or Australia as a german? Perhaps with some experience in mining, even though its "just" salt? And what if I bring a (german) degree in mining engineering?
be precautious while mining
