Center For Partnership Systems
United States
Приєднався 14 бер 2022
Riane Eisler’s research reveals that underlying the great diversity of human culture are two basic models of society: Domination Systems & Partnership Systems. The core configurations of these two systems are like the operating system of a culture: they shape all relationships.
Domination Systems have superior/inferior relationships & view power as “power over”. Fear & force maintain rankings of man over man, man over woman, race over race, religion over religion, all the way to humans over the earth.
Partnership Systems have egalitarian relationships & view power as “power with” & “power to”. Fear & force are not required to maintain superior/inferior rankings, & relationships are marked by mutual respect, accountability, caring, & awareness of interconnection.
We've been taught that Domination Systems are natural & inevitable. Drawing from multidisciplinary evidence, Eisler’s research shows that for millennia human cultures oriented toward Partnership Systems.

Riane Eisler Foundations for Partnership Public Policies
Great initiative about a very important subject
Coercive control also is linked to street harrassment, closing off free space.
Very informative and hopeful interview, thank you
Could you interview leading A.I. safety experts, too, about their views on A.I. integration and developing partnership societies? Like Timnit Gebru, or Marietje Schaake
Very important and informative interview, thank you. I wonder how A.I. can promote global equity and sustainability goals, and ways that individual people globally could effectively organize and work together to achieve those. That would be very important when going through a transformation and developing a new world with A.I.
Not bad idea at all to compare our current society with that of Chimpanzees (male dominated societies according to Jane Goodall) and to adopt characteristics of Bonobo societies.
Important for human societies to recognize there's an alternative to domination systems, and that such different frameworks are attainable. Also very important to consider what roles A.I. might play in this, as it becomes an integral part of our lives.
Thank you for this interview and your great initiative. I so admire Dr. Eisler's work, her knowledgable positive ideas and solutions. To move towards a partnership society is so important for humanity, especially with the AI revolution. I'm fairly new to this body of knowledge but I want to promote this hopeful and realistically achievable, sustainable framework. Would it be a good idea to engage AI safety organisations and people, like Elizabeth Kelly, Stuart Russell, Jaan Tallinn, Timnit Gebru, Yoshua Bengio, Marietje Schaake, Dan Hendrycks, Otto Barten, in this conversation and initiative towards a partnership society? The godfather of AI Prof. Geoffrey Hinton in one of his talks (Two Paths to Intelligence) also suggests the importance of socialism (as a basic principle, not gendered, nor like communism) for equitable AI integration.

@@centerforpartnershipsystem5539 You're welcome, these people aren't professional contacts of mine, but I guess they and their organizations might be interested in the Partnership Society ideas as a useful framework for fair and equitable global AI integration. and as a hopeful basis toward a new human&AI existence and development. Maybe a movement can be started in this direction, since everything will fundamentally change with AI. I also find the young leadership program of Dr. Jane Goodall very inspiring.

Thank you for this interview, great channel.
The godfather of AI, prof. Geoffrey Hinton also talks about a new society based on socialism (not communism). It's extremely important for humanity to already think about human values and develop new societal systems with the AI revolution.
Would it be a good suggestion for your great initiative, to interview Dr. Timnit Gebru about AI and changing society?
It's very precarious in my country too, abortion still is a crime in our fundamental laws, with added pro-choice adaptations on top of that. So with conservative or right-wing lawmakers the clock can be turned backwards here, too.
Like one of our Dutch national heroes, Herman Brood, said: the system is thoroughly corrupted
