This is a very good list of different types of journaling! I mostly use a junk/creative journal and this reminded me of how I've been thinking about getting a media journal as well!

dude the kpop mental illness bit KILLED ME cuz i've BEEN there oh my god lmfao. please make more talking videos if you want to because your sense of humor is so fun! you bring up some really important points that i think everyone in the journaling community should think about, especially "if your favorite thing about your hobby is seeing someone else's finished product, maybe you don't really like that hobby." so so true. sometimes i find myself too caught up in wanting to finish a journal and have that product (and thinking about it in terms of a "product" also makes me think that it is really like a sellable part of yourself, an actual PRODUCT, just like everything else seems to be under capitalism.. i feel like social media "ruining journaling" is really just capitalism ruining journaling. social media speeds up everything, it's the ultimate marketplace. not only is overconsumption a problem, but also the marketing and consuming of the self). sorry for the ramble - i'm realizing sometimes i need to take a break from journaling content and think of my journaling as an experience and journey (as cheesy as that sounds) in of itself, rather than a race to a final destination. thanks for such an interesting video!!

I'm just now getting back into reading books and journaling/common placing and I have been overwhelmed with the amount of videos with people with beautifully structured journals, every stationary item under the sun, and bookcases filled with books from floor to ceiling! I have to keep reminding myself that none of the videos I see is what I really want, its just nice to see other people online with similar hobbies. It's easy to think that in order to connect with creators that share interests with you that you have to participate in it the same way they do.

Loved to hear about your journals and your philosophy on journalling. I think it's the most healthy I've seen in a while. I'm trying to turn to that minset that my hobbies don't need to look "good" or anything, they only need to be enjoyed by me, so I will practice them more and get more joy and relaxation from them instead of more stress 😂😅 It was also lovely to see your desktop as I always see the "aesthetic" ones (not that yours isn't pretty, I love it!) and mine always looks clutered with the things I am using or trying to use at the moment. I feel more content with my desk now hah 💙 Have a nice end of the week!💙💙

I loved listening to you share about all your journals and especially your time process! I have some journals which are defintely a slow burn but I know when I finally finish them they will hold so many memories which excites me. I haven't watched Hidden Love yet but it is on my watchlist!! ❤
