Coca-Cola Sign Dug!

A short clip after this beauty dropped out of the ceiling of the hole at a city dump. Needs some more cleaning, but it is actually amazingly readable and displayable for a dug sign with a bend. At some point I should have more videos at this spot up. A lot of great bottles were dug out of this spot too.

How to restore the stenciling on porcelain stoppers for antique blob bottles.
I imagine there was a lot of organic waste and other things that went into these small dumps. Does anything ever smell bad or anything or is it always completely decomposed back into dirt?
Yes, only if sealed inside such bottles. Most of everything organic has been long composted. The only dumps you need to worry about are those post-1950, and I dig dig those.
That big jar is a kerosene jar for refilling oil lamps.
Figured that out, but thank you for the ID!
Sure was some beautiful stuff there...I went to a few shows in the early 80's.....Used to search for bottles in the 70's when I was a kid....My Dad found the nice ones working constuction in New Haven in the 60's-70's...
There has got to be a dump somewhere on that property....the well too. Maybe filled in when house was demolished...But at least you found those two nice blobs!
I'll find it, will return eventually.
Very awesome i wish i could go to a place like that . I got a big collection but i am on disability and can't move that much .
Always happy to come out on digs with you!!!
Nice digs! Blobs are always fun to pull.
Nice bottles. I’m glad I found you online.
What a beaut!
That’s a great find! I’m surprised the condition is that good
That was great 😊what a great range of different bits and pieces and the bitters is killer 😎good on ya both 🎉I swear best bottle I ever dug , local rare pictorial crown seal , I didn’t see a hair line crack in the crown 👑 and cleaning it fell off 😂I had one allready but this was turing purple 😢
Nice find! Can't wait to see more!
Fantastic find and in great condition considering where you got it from and its age❤️💚👍🇬🇧
Everything is smashed! UK
That is what happens in a dump, yes.
Your camera work makes me DIZZY Slow down dude
Good stuff love the squat !!
Cam , I hit you up on messenger the other day
Yes, I saw and replied.
Did you know that on the Warners bottle depending what side the hinge is on the safe one is more valuable than the other, look it up!Love the way you go out & hunt your dumps, that’s the only way to find them!Great job guys!
Yes! And yup! Gotta find more this summer! Tons of spots near water!
Fantastic finds!!! Congrats on digging your first Warners... Sweet script pharmacy Cam. Keep on digging these beauties.
Thanks!
Those were some nice finds!! That place with all the foundations was interesting.....Near river...I thought maybe an old Boyscout camp.....with cabins? Some of those foundations looked old.....Should be on old town maps....And paved road going in?....must have been there in 60's.....
The old ones are definitely on 1850s and 1870s maps, likely older. All homesites. Trying to figure it out. Need to do more research. The area with the many foundations was a plantation style mansion and farm which also had stables and a servants house. When the owner died in the early 1900s no one bought it, and the place was abandoned and left to ruin by the 1950s. All homes in this place were collapsing by the 50s, abandoned around the 1910s-1930s. The current road was paved in the 50s or 60s for a sand pit mining operation then whole area abandoned in the 80s. Will definitely be returning.
Nice finds! It's definitely been a good year for finding Warners!
Check ash in the ground as you know to find. 😊
Does anyone have any advice on ways to find OLD city dumps?
I will one day have a video out to help. Usually looking for historic newspaper articles that mention fires at dumps helps a ton.
@@PlaneDiggerCam21 I think I asked you or another channel that before. Lol. I remember that answer. Sorry about that. Also, do you look up the historic newspaper info online? Or at a public library?
@@JerryR1776 Depends on who has it for your area. Likely a street will be named and doing some research can then narrow it down to a more exact location.
Every once in awhile.... stuff like this happens 🎉
Interesting video ✌️
Hello Cam ❤👍👋👋
Hi
Привет от коллег из России! Великолепные находки!!! Просто супер! Мы тоже любим копать стекло. Удачи вам!!! ❤
You need someone on the camera besides you. Kind of disturbing.
If I could and when I do, it would be better. Sometimes I am by myself and am filming at odd angles. I unfortunately did not have a tripod, but will be getting one soon so I can have less shaky camera work.
You were stoked it wasnt broken! With that short stubby neck at first you might think the neck was broken off 😂 Congratulations!
It feels like I'm in a dinghy In a forty_knotter😅,yet I got glimpses of some Killah n.england bottles!! Thanks for rockin!always❤bottles
Yeah I gotta work on my filming haha. I was trying to move quickly and not show peoples faces. At the next Baltimore Show my camera work will be better.
Nice ! Congrats

So exciting hearing your guys joy. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Great finds fellas. Camden that Bitters is killer, congrats! 👍
Screw tops go back to 1880s early machine made corkers and screw tops at the same time . They just had to make tooled tops and ground lips.
At first glance, the cobalt bottle looked like the ones you see from the 1940s, but upon closer inspection it was a lot more crude and etc. And obviously ground lip!
Love the shell casing ! Kool
Congrats on barrel bitters ! Great spot
Cam, Great bottles! Congrats on your Barrels Bitter. I'm so happy for you. Do you still have a lot of area to dig in?
Thanks and yes.
What a haul!
Just subscribed today. Great video 👍👍👍🇨🇦 hello guys from London Ontario Canada
WOW ! Awesome stuff coming out
Awesome video and bottle finds guys! Awesome Barrel bitters bottle and surely the best bottle find of this day. 🙂 This is the first time my son Lew and I watched your videos. We will watch more for sure. We have a Jeffrey Hull Jr UA-cam channel to watch our bottle digging videos on and we are hoping to put more on there in the future. I'm having issues with my new cell phone uploading new videos on it. So, I might have to start a new "Jeff & Lewis Dig Bottles" UA-cam Channel . I'm hoping it might work out. Not sure if it will work out. I will let you all know if this happens. We wish good health and luck to all of you. Take care and happy hunting to all of you. Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew)
Look forward to seeing your videos too! Thanks for the kind words and the same to you! GL&HH
That was a great dig!! Just about every bottle was a winner!! That barrel was super nice!
That porcelain sign is awesome. Congrats on the hutch. Haven’t dug one yet myself.
Wow wee 🙋♀️
Hi cam 😊
Hi Cindy!
That’s an awesome spot to dig! Congrats!
For some reason many of the farm dumps i find are near creeks. Probably because the creek is in a ravine.
Believe it or not, an sos pad with lots of water will take care of the rust on the dairy bottle with ease.
Nice score on the barrel bitters! And a good variety of others. Bang up job on the recap...very thorough and good photography. I just subscribed, largely due to that. Thanks for sharing your dig.
Found your video on the Antique Bottles site. Pretty sweet to see the bottles come out live.
